Huntley Harvestors Excel At State Fair
Huntley Harvestors 4-H'ers made an excellent showing at the Illinois State Fair on Friday, August 20. Participants were (1 to r) Eric Ruth, Home Furnishings--Award of Excellence; Patrick Heavey, Woodworking II--Superior Award; Tim Hoeft, Bicycle Maintenance--Award of Excellence; Loran Lilly, Woodworking I--Award of Excellence; Krista Jurs, Home Furnishings--Award of Excellence; Megan Sunderlage, Clothing/ Modeling--Award of Excellence; Kristen Sunderlage, Home Furnishings--Award of Excellence. Not pictured: Denise Archambeault and Lynna Quandt, Food Demonstration--Superior Award.

Heather ScnneiQerman and her horse, Sonny Seville
Schneiderman To Represent Illinois At All-American Horse Congress —
Local equestrian. Heather Schneiderman, will be representing Itlinois on the National Youth Activity Team at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio, in October.
Heather, and her horse. Sonny Seville, have been going to Quarter Horse Shows since March to accumulate points to qualify for the Land of Lincoln Quarter Horse Association Youth Team.
Heather and Sonny have achieved several goals this show season. They have won two youth all-around trophies and one runner-up certificate from the American Quarter Horse Association in Amarilio, TX. They have also achieved their Register of Merit Award. She has also qualified as First Alternate to represent Illinois at the World Show in Ft. Worth, TX.
Huntley Pioneer Farkas Is McHenry County Fair Champion q^.^^^ ^^ p,^y g^^„ ^^ N-Ccntral
Victoria Farkas, a Huntley Pioneer 4-H Club member, is pictured here with her horse. Solitary Silver when they won the Grand Champion Showmanship Ribbon at the McHenry County Fair. She was also Champion in English Equitation, Western Horsemanship, English Pleasure and Western Pleasure. Silver is wearing a horse cooler donated by the Tri-County Horseman's Association, one of three that this amazing team earned at the fair. Victoria will be representing the Land of Lincoln Quarter Horse Association on the National Youth Activity Team at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress held this October in Columbus, Ohio.
Dan Origer, a 1993 graduate of Huntley High School, has made a verbal commitment to play basketball at North Central College.
The e'S" forward joins a North Central squad that finished the 1992-93 with an 8-17 record. Coach Bill
Warden, who will begin his 13th year as the Cardinal head coach, has compiled a 174-142 record including four invitations to the NCAA Division III playoffs.
Dan is the son of Steve and Sally Origer of Huntley.
