To be named to the dean's list a student must maintain a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Michael Brown of HunUey has been named to the 1994 fall semester dean's list at McHenry County College. He is the son of Marshall and Melody Brown of HunUey. Susan Callahan of Huntley and Teresa SmiUi of Union have been named to the dean's list at Elgin Comunity College for the 1994 fall semester. Jason Bye of Huntley and James Cook of Union have been named to die dean's list for the 1994 fall semester at Bradley University in Peoria. Bye is the son of Ray and Heather Bye of HunUey and is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering. Dawn Marie Siragusa of HunUey has been named to the dean's Ust at Illinois State University for die 1994 fall semester. Christine Jilek of Woodstock has been named to the dean's list at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale for the 1994 fall semester. THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2,1995 - VOLUME 34, NUMBER 43 USPS 580-360 Marsh's Angus Wins Cliampion IHonors Out of 440 head of angus cattle exhibited, R A 711 Kad 346 won senior bull calf champion honors at the 1995 National Western Stock Show's Roil of Victory National Angus Show in Denver, CO. The entry is co-owned by Jim (second from right) and Ron Marsh of Huntley, Mark Richardson (far right) of Indiana, and Pete Thompson( third from right) of North Dakota. At the time of the show, the bull was 16 months old and weighed 1,715 lbs. IHuntley Village Board Conducts Monthly Business The board of trustees meeting of Uie Village of HunUey was caUed to order Jan. 12 at 7pm. In attendance were Mayor Dhamer, Trustees Becker, Borowicz, Shamhart, Sheehan and Todd. Also in attendance were Administrator Nelis, Police Chief Rossi, Building Inspector Ehrke, Village Engineer Schwegel and Attomey Coppedge. Consent Agenda The foUowing items were removed from the consent agenda by request: A-B-M-N- 0-P-Q. The following items were passed: C) accounting reports; D) TTF approval - Brown Bros. $1,207.23; E) TIF approval - Marengo Disposal $344.00; F) TIF approval - HunUey Material $61.00; G) TIF approval - NorUiem Illinois Roofing $265.00; H) TIF approval - F&H Industries Midwest $108.75; I) TIF approval - Northem Key & Lock $648.33; J) TIF approval - Ameritech $157.00; K) TIF approval - Radicom $300.00; L) TIF approval - C. Robert Eckman $800.69. Motion by Tmstee Shamhart, seconded by Trastee Borowicz to approve Uie remaining consent agenda. Vote was Tmstees Borowicz, Shamhart, Sheehan, Todd, ayes; Trustee Becker, nay. Consent Agenda-A Minutes Regarding Dec. 8 minutes. Trustee Borowicz expressed concern that the consent agenda says "sign variance" but does not indicate whom it is for. Administrator Nelis explained Uiat it is for Plote. Tmstee Borowicz indicated Uiat should be in the minutes. Tmstee Borowicz said that on the last page conceming public works, a question was asked. Tmstee Borowicz is Uie one who asked Uie question on the top paragraph. 7:15pm Tmstee Eckel arrived. Tmstee Becker mentioned that he was trying to determine what Uie dumps from Uie Dean's Food plant smelled lUce. Discussion of its smell occured. Trastee Sheehan indicated Uiat for the minutes of the Dec. 15 meeting, page 4, second paragraph, he would like someUiing added Uiat it be done wiUiout having to permanenUy waive ordinances. Motion by Tmstee Sheehan to accept minutes as amended, seconded by Trastee Todd. Vote was Trastees Becker, Borowicz, Shamhart, Todd, aye; Trastee Eckel, abstained. Consent Agenda-B Bill List Trastee Todd asked why there are two bills for Uie Christmas party. Mayor Dhamer explained that the food was furnished by two organizations. Trastee Becker motioned to approve and pay bills, except four bills from Northwest Auto. Trastee Eckel seconded. Vote was Trastees Becker, Borowicz, Eckel, Shamhart, Sheehan, Todd, all ayes. Motion by Trastee Borowicz to pay Northwest's four bills for $61.79, $115.05, continued on page 14
