Christmas Contest Winners Announced!
Above: Kevin, Dawn and Katy Ellison of 10610 Philip are the proud first place winners of The Huntley Farmside Christmas Decorating Contest held last month. Ellisons were among ten Huntley
families who entered the contest. The winners were elected by votes cast in the red boxes located in local businesses who sponsored the contest.
Left: Doug Vierck of 11910W. Main took second place for the second year in a row.
Below: John and Shelly Goers of 10812 A Woodstock won third place.

First prize in The Huntley Farmside Christmas Decorating Contest goes to 10610 Philip - Kevin and Dawn Ellison.
First prize includes: $50 gift certificate from Huntley Country Store, $50 U.S. savings bond from McHenry Savings Bank, $15 gift certificate from Huntley Supermarket, large cheese and sausage pizza from Luigi's Pizza, complete new patient exam and first adjustment from Walsh Chiropractic, shrimp dinner from Parkside Tap, $50 off of a Princess Cruise from Hometown Travel, $ 10 gift certificate from Huntley Floral, new patient care package from Huntley Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, Hulwrt bank from Harris Bank, video from Video Smideo and classified ad from The Huntley Fannside.
Second prize was awarded to 11910 W. Main Street - Doug and Judy Vierck along with their daughters. Dawn and Jamie. This home was also elected second in 1993's contest.

Josh Boston of Huntley won the voter bonus questions prize. His name was drawn from all those voters who correctly answered the bonus questions on the ballot. George Wiesneth of Huntley won the voter prize. His voting ballot was drawn from all the ballots cast. For all those curious, the answers to the bonus questions were as follows: 1) Where's the big Christmas present at 11614 Gayle Court? On the garage door. 2) What do the tin soldiers guard at 10609 Charles Street? Three lollipops. 3) What does the snowman say at 10610 Charles Street? Happy Holidays. 4) Who waits for Christmas on the porch of 11614 2nd Street? We accepted Santa or snowmen as correct answers. 5) How many front windows have moveable figurines in them at 16010 Hillsboio Drive? We accepted either 6 or 12 as correct because the windows were set close together in pairs. 6) Who sleeps in the manger at 12113 W. Main Street? Baby

Huntley Kids Spread Holiday Spirit
The Huntley Elementary 5th Grade class hosted this year's Christmas program on December 20, 1994. Grades K-5 performed wonderfully and put all who attended in the Christmas spirit. The very 90's kindergartners suggested we FAX our Christmas lists to Santa.
