Log Cabin Renovation Approved By Huntley Park Board-
By Joyce Liput
On March 23. the Huntley Park District Board approved the renovation work on the Boy Scout Log Cabin located in Deicke Park. Project co¬ ordinator Hoppy Kahl has lined up material and equipment donations and most of the labor and money to start the project. He plans to get started on the Sunday after Faster. According to Kahl, the length of time it takes to complete the project depends on many factors, such as the weather, supply and labor schedules, and unforseen
problems encountered once the project is begun.
One of the problems, money, is being anticipated with fundraiser plans now in the works. The Huntley Boy Scouts and Huntley Lions are planning a joint pancake breakfast some time in May to help raise some of the funds still needed. More information will be provided once plans are finalized.
Mr. Kahl is accumulating a list of the people involved in building the original log cabin. The list so far
includes Earl "Pete" Kalsow, Allen Kalsow. John "Pete" Kalsow. August Ehlert, Glenn Ehlert, Andy Schmitt, Harry Schmitt. Bill Amos, Clay Marsh, Frank Rubash, Lyle Rubash. Leo Rubash, Oscar Anderson. Roy Anderson. Merritt Anderson, Howard Fyfe. Earl Fyfe, John Senne, Gerold Marsh, William"Bud" Zerbel, Robert Rchberg, Roland Ackman and Wilber Frederick, If anyone knows of any names that should be added to the list. please contact Kahl at 669-3910,

Huntley Paramedics Give
Blood Pressure Checks To Seniors-
Kevin Ellison and Dave Winkelman are two of Huntley's fine paramedics that come monthly to the Senior Citizens Club to give blood pressure checks. Marilyn Eckman is pictured receiving her check up. To show appreciation they are invited to share lunch with us and some "goodie" desserts are sent back for the remaining fire department personnel. Our club wants to thank these young men in the department for providing these services, and for the super job they do for the community.
