Trustee Candidates Face The Public ¦-
By Cathy DeQuaker
Approximately 70 residents attended the recently held Candidates Night for the upcoming village trustee positions. The event was sponsored by the Huntley Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Seven candidates, Charlie Becker, Roger
Borowicz, Susan L. Lamb, John Sheehan, Dennis Beeskow, Terry Hoeft and Sue Paulsen, will be running for three open positions on the board.
The candidates were asked a variety of questions including their views on the
Commonwealth Edison power line issue, increasing Huntley's industrial and commercial base for taxes, orderly growth, and establishing a smooth working team effort between the village, fire department, library and park district. Each candidate was given time to respond to
the questions and ended with a closing statement of their reasons for running and their commitments to serving on the board.
The chamber encourages residents to get out and vote on April 4.

Mugavero PUD Request
/Commissioner Domagalski arrived at 7:06pm/
Present were consulting engineer, Mr. John Spenader, and Mr. and Mrs. Mugavero.
Mr. Spenader described the project as consisting of 14.7 acres. The conceptual plan was presented a few months ago and was favorably received.
The site location was displayed by Mr. Spenader and shown to be bordered by the Plote property to the west; Grease Factory parcel to the south; and two parcels to the northwest. There is only one access road to the property.
Since the time the conceptual plan was presented, several meetings have been held with Baxter & Woodman and Village staff. Studies were also done on the flood plains. Issues relating to wetlands necessitated further changes, hence the new plan.
Sanitary sewer would be through an existing manhole. The Mugaveros have acquired a strip of land to align this connection. Water service would be from Grove.
