Huntley Country Store lOth Anniversary
By Ann & Tim Essig
Huntley Country Store is celebrating it's 10th Anniversary this year. When we first opened on August 1, 1986, we had two employees and now we have eight. We had only 24 La-Z-Boy recliners in stock and now we have over 150. All the furniture had been ordered with the sales reps visiting us months earlier in our home. We sold clothes along with the furniture. Mayor Dhamer was at our Grand Opening and he had only recently been elected mayor. The parking lot was only gravel and we had

We had no money, but we had the desire to work hard and build a business we could be proud of. Along the way, we've met some scoundrels and some saints and served many wonderful customers and friends. Thanks to all of you for letting us prove once more that
the American Dream can work
if you are willing to work.
