Football Association Forms in Huntley

The Huntley Youth Football Association has been formed. The general purpose of the association is to promote physical and moral well being of young people by providing them with physicd equipment, physical instruction, and recreational facilities, along with friendly counsel, advice and guidance.
A temporary board has been set up. It will be voted on at the next meeting, that will take place Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7:30pm in the American Legion Hall in Huntiey.
Anyone who would like to be a part of this group need only show up. Please help get tiiis started.
The temporary board president is Jim Geary; 1st vice president, Terry Boley; 2nd vice president, Tom Mohney; secretary, unfilled; treasurer, Barry Bohart; equipment manager, Bruce Betii; concession manager, unfilled; field manager, Dave Joslyn; league representative, Kevin Brown; coaches representative, Henry Frasher; and registrar, Beth BemdL
l\/leghan Zimmerman Signs With Ciemson
Huntiey's Meghan Zimmerman (seated) signed her national letter of intent to attend Ciemson University on Feb. 9 at Huntley High School, as (I to r) athletic director Terry Awrey, Susan Zimmerman and head coach Larry Kahl watched.
Kittel Named Athlete Of Week By Concordia
Concordia University of River Forest named Eric Kittel of the men's basketball team as atiilete of Uie week for die weekofJan. 30-Feb.4.
Kittel put togeUier two solid efforts as Uie Cougars split a pair of games. He scored 14 points, including 4 important free throws down the stretch, as Uie Cougars defeated Aurora
88-83 on Feb. 1. His 14 points came on 4-6 shooting from the field, including two 3-point baskets. Kittel also pulled down 5 rebounds against the Spartans. Kittel's 12 rebounds were his season high in the 65-62 loss to Illinois Benedictine on Feb. 4. In that contest, he also scored seven points on 3-5
shooting (one 3-pointer). The Cougars' defensive specialist also had two steals to keep the Cougars in the game right to Uie final buzzer. Kittel, a 1991 graduate of Huntley High School, is a senior in Concordia's liberal arts program witii a major in exercise science.
Huntley Seniors Met, Make Plans

The January 26 meeting of HunUey Senior Citizens Club was called to order by president Vem Heine wiUi 60 members present
Guests for the meeting were Kevin Ellison and Dave Oldham, representing the Huntiey Fuefighters Association. Joseph Kaltwasser, Joe and Ann Nerat, and Frank and Irene Wolfinger also attended and became new members. Joe Poluch, now retired, was also welcomed.
The minutes of Uie last meeting were ^proved as read on a motion by Margaret Driscoll, 2nd by Bob Eckman.

Huntley Chamber Gears Up For 3rd Expo

The hosts for this meeting decorated Uie tables for Valentine's Day and later Evelyn Benning gave each officer a gift of candy in appreciation for all the work each one of them has done for Uie club. Hosts for February are Lucile Kahl, Ruth M. Kahl, Marge Broughton, Betty Anderson and Deloies Bilsborough.

The Huntiey Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry is gearing up for their 3rd annual Business Expo on Feb. 25 & 26. The expo will be held in Uie high school gymnasium. Visit over 65 booUis that will be displaying theu- products and services to Uie public. There is no admission charge.
Mrs. Illinois 1995, Carolyn Morris, will be on hand on Saturday at 12 noon. The Huntiey High School band will perform on Sunday, which has been dedicated to Uie youUi of Huntley. Operation Snowball wUl do facepainting for the kids. Sign up to win a boy's or giri's bike sponsored by Northem Illinois Roofing;
$100 shopping spree at the Huntiey Factory Shops, sponsored by the shops and Uie chamber; overnight for two at the Holiday Inn in Elgin; and many more prizes.
