John Hutsler, Jr Honored at Fire Department Event
The Huntley Fire Department celebrated its annual Spouse Appreciatiori Night last Saturday, March 2. During the evening a commemorative stained glass window was presented to the Huntley Fire Protection District in memory of John Hutsler, Jr. At the time of his death, John was Assistant Chief of The Huntley Fire Department. The presentation was made by Dawn Ellison, on behalf of June and Milford Brown, Bob and Manlyn Kunde, Mark and Judy Kunde, Scott Ravagni, Dave and Colleen Veath, and Kevin Ellison.
An original design, the memorial incorporates photos and symbols that highlight John's career with the Huntley Fire Department. It is constructed using the cab window of Fire Engine 936 as a base. The design is executed in stained glass. The following inscription is sandblasted into the stained glass below the design: The tones would go ojf, the boots would go on, the door would slam, the silence ofthe night broken, by the voice on the radio, 903 in service to the scene. So also is the sounding of a bell. A special signal ^f three rings, three times each, represents the end of his duties and that he will be returning Mi) quarters. For our comrade, his last alarm. He is going home.

Find Your Treasures at Congregational Rummage Sale.

The Women's Circle at First Congregational Church has the
perfect place for your kitchen clutter...our giant rummage sale on March 15 & 16. Items you'd like to donate can be dropped off at the church's Church Street entrance on March 11, 12, 13 & 14 from 7:30am to noon.
Remember, one man's discards are another man's discovery. Make sure you come to the sale Friday,
March 15, between 8am and 5pm and Saturday, March 16, between Sam and noon, to see what treasures you can take home or bargains you can buy. Saturday is $2 per bag and 50% off everything else. The First Congregational Church is located at the corner of Church and Main Streets in Huntley.
Huntley PTA Plan Skating Party.

The PTA is having a skating party and you are invited!
The party is for all students grades K-8, their friends and families. This party will have a little extra excitement, because we are having a contest between classes. The class that has the most representatives in attendance wins a prize. Teachers will be admitted free! It will be held at Roxy Wheels in West Dundee on Sunday, March 10,- 4:30-6:30pm. Moms and dads are encouraged to attend and make a family day of it, however the rink will be well
chaperoned so children can be dropped off at the door. Roxy Wheels is a terrific rink, with friendly employees, great music, a snack bar and plenty of places to sit and watch. We play games and have lots of fun. The fink has a capacity for 1,000 people, our parties average 175 people. This is a great chance to skate in relative calm, see all your friends and get some exercise. Please don't miss it. Admission is $2.00. This fee is to offset PTA's cost for renting the rink. If you need skate rental, it's $1.50.
Village Board Will Meet Tonight,
There will be a meeting of the Committee of the Whole of the Village of Huntley board of trustees tonight, Thursday, March 7, at 7pm. The meeting will be held at the village annex building at 11221 Dundee Rd., Huntley. The agenda includes the following;

Harris Bank Huntley Names New Director
Thomas L. Manning named to Harris Bank Huntley Board of Directors
Mr. Ralph Hardy, chairman of the board of directors of Harris Bank Huntley, is please to announce that Thomas L. Manning, president of Manning Concrete, Inc., has been elected to the board of directors of Harris Bank Huntley.
Mr. Manning, a Huntley area resident since 1986, started Manning Concrete, Inc. in 1982 in West Dundee. He moved the operation to Huntley in 1986.
Mr. Manning, his wife, Eileen, and four children, are members of St. Mary's Church in Huntley. Mr. Manning also serves on the Huntley Zoning Board of Appeals and Manning Concrete, Inc. has been a member of the Huntley Chamber of Commerce since its inception.
