First National Bank ofMarengo names new officers
Carole J. Bartman, President and CEO of First National Bank of Marengo, has announced several personnel changes for 1996. DianneEmerich has been promoted to Loan Operations Officer from Administrative Assistant / Loan Processor in the Marengo loan department. Emerich has been with First National for five years.
Coleen Dick has been promoted to operations Officer inMarengo. Dick has worked as a Customer Ser\'ice Representative and Data Processing Coordinator since joining First National in 1989.
Nancy Muniz has been promoted to Loan Officer at Lake in the Hills Bank, a branch of First National Bank of Marengo. Muniz formerly served as a loan processor at that facility. She has been with Lake in
the Hills Bank for eight years.
"Dianne, Coleen and Nancy have all shown a true committment to our customers, which is a characteristic we look for in any officer of the bank," said Bartman. The bank also announced that Laura (Tilton) Yerk and Mary Jane Bauman have joined the staff at First National Bank of Marengo. Formerly with a Harvard bank, Marengo native Yerk brings banking experience to Marengo, where she is now a Customer Service Representative.
Also a Marengo native, Bauman has joined First National Bank as an Administrative Assistant and Loan Processor. Bauman wasformerly with Northern Federal Savings for 21 years.

residents between its four locations. "As Marengo's only locally-owned and independent bank, we have always worked hard to maintain strong ties to the local community.
That means hiring people who not only know the community, but live in it. Our customers like being able to work with someone they know," said Bartman.
Park District plans 'Kids Choice Day'
The Huntley Park District has planned a field trip that teaches children about democracy in action...sort of
On Mon., March 4, the District will hold' 'Kids Choice Day," one of its most popular no-school-day trips. Children ages K-5 will play games of their choice, go to see a movie of their choice, and go out for lunch at the fast-food location of their choice. The Park District promises to give all participants a democratic vote with majority rule.

Kids Choice Day begins at 8:00am at the Deicke Recreation Center and ends at 3;00pm. The trip costs $20/in-district,$27/out-of-district. Children need to bring money for snacks at the movie and lunch at McDonalds, Burger King or Pizza Hut. Care before and after the trip is available for an additional fee.

Local roofing contractor receives award
Northern Illinois Roofing, Inc., has been named a recipient ofthe 1996 Firestone Master Contractor Award. This marks the eighth year that Northern Illinois Roofing has attained Master Contractor status.
This award, established in 1988, is presented annually by Firestone Building Products Company, Carmel, Ind., to the company's top licensed commercial roofing contractors in its five U.S. sales regions, Canada and Europe.
The 1996 Master Contractor Award was presented to Northern Illinois Roofing, Inc. in recognition of its consistent, quality installations of Firestone Roofing Systems during 1995.
Firestone roofing projects installed by Northern Illinois Roofing Inc. of Huntley in 1995 included Huntley Factory Shops, Motorola Warehouse, McHenry, and Lowes, DeKalb.
Northern Illinois Roofing, Inc. was established in 1979 and has been a licensed Firestone roofing contractor since 1981.
