Huntley boys place in "Punt, Pass, Kick" competition
On September 30th the following boys represented Huntley at the Punt, Pass, and Kick competition held in St. Charles: Robby Geary, Bradley Kalsow, Bradley Sass, Andrew Mohney, Isaac Nevel, Hugh McGinley, and Robbie Fontana.

Sass took Istplaceinthe 10-year-old division and Bradley Kalsow, son of Tom & Donna Kalsow, got 2nd place in the 9-year-old division. Bradley Sass ended up at 6th place in the State and missed competing in the State finals at Soldiers Field as only the top 5 finalists advanced.
Huntley Youth Football hosts 'Super Bowl'

People came from all over the state to watch the Redskin lightweights play in their first-ever Super Bowl championship game. The weather was perfect for watching football and the spirits were high.
The lightweight Redskins hosted the Richmond Comets in the first game. The Comets came on to the field, ready to take home the victory, and their attitudes were evident in their playing.

HFPD presents meeting minutes
The automatic mutual aid alarm and the hunk house remodeling were among the issues discussed at the Huntley Fire Protection District Board of Trustees meeting on Sept. 28, 1995.	
A motion by Trustee Hartmann was made to open the Sept. 28, 1995 Regular Meeting ofthe Huntley Fire Protection District at 7:I0pm, secondedby Secretary Williams. Roll noted the following ayes: Gow, Williams, Homuth, Graf and Hartmann, motion was carried and the Sept. 28, 1995 meeting was in session.
Present were President Gow, Secretary Williams, Treasurer F uth and Trustees Graf and HSfunann, as Ivell as Attorney Militello.
President Gow called for the Secretary's report. Secretary Williams reported he had received sample ballots from McHenry County andKane County; asked that everyone check for correct spelling, etc. If no corrections, pass them onto Attorney Militello, who will then inform them how to proceed. Treasurer Homuth reported that as
of Aug. 31, 1995, the following was as: General Fire Checking: $10,315.53. General Fire Money Market $194,047.56. Plan and Review Account$2,295.50. Building Certificate of Deposit $230,411.46.
There were no questions on the Bill List. President Gow moved to pay these invoices, seconded by Trustee Hartmann. Motion carried. President Gow asked to have Trustee Graf reimbursed the amount of $83.85 for meals at the Fire Chiefs Conference in Kentucky. Williams seconded. Roll call noted all ayes and the motion was carried. President Gowthen calledforpublic comments, and there being none, went on with the agenda and called on Attorney Militello for his report.
Attorney Militello reported on the election process. At the upcoming election, four people are on the ballot. There are five positions available. The Monday following the election, those persons appointed by the appointed authority will then be terminated. Then, all those elected will take their positions in December. Those elected persons will then vote amongst themselves for the one vacancy, and they would need a

He has some information on promotional process and rules and regulations, which they will need to discuss. A statement of cash receipts and disbursements, a copy of which needs to be signed by the treasurer and a copy will go to the Farmside and a copy to the proper local authorities. A copy of the survey from Prime was sent to everyone, and a copy ofthe letter was distributed. Basically, they are re-subdividing the area and the piece of property we are now looking at is Lot 8 of that re- subdivision, and they are in the preliminary approval of that with the Village ofHuntiey.
He is still looking into the Tort Liability Bonds.
President Gow gave the Chiefs report in the Chiefs absence:
calls 1995:357 ambulance, 186 fire, 543 total. Total calls 1994: 328 ambulance, 199 fire, 527 total.
Training: September 1995 - Pumping Operations. October 1995- AgilityTest. November 1995 - Walk- Thru/Pre-Plan - Union Special. December 1995 - Haz-Mat Refresher. Old Business: Four new beds are in the bunk room. Safety Board was appointed by Chief and is in place; members are Chief, Capt. Mallegni, Lt. Eed, John Winkelman and Mark Kunde. A new computer was installed in Chiefs ofiice.
New Business: New daily/weekly Duty Sheets for both full-time and P.O.P. shifts have been implemented.
A review of safety policies and procedures and a walk-thru of the station was done on 9/18/95 by Ideal Insurance, Loss Control Division. Final report will be in three weeks, but very favorable comments were given by Don Klinger, reviewer.

Annual Pump Testing is to be done Sept. 26 & 27, 1995, jointly with Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Fire Districts.

Treasurer Homuth said he had some questions regarding the Safety Board. It was decided to hold discussion on this at the Oct. meeting.
President Gow reported that Julie (at the Mall) said the fire equipment could be displayed up near the entrance. Discussion followed, and they felt it should not be in that area but should be displayed in the parking lot and to block the area off vnth yellow tape; felt there was too much liability to put in the area she recommended. Smoke trailer is coming from Wonder Lake.
If the river is high enough, they will do the annual pump testing with Algonquin and Lake in the Hills. Otherwise, Bakley has a pond they can use.
