The cost at the gate wili oe $1.00 to support the homecoming activities. Immediately following the game there will be a bon Fire at the Harmony Road Campus until 10:00 pm. Come out and cheer the teams on. Huntley Lioness Club Awards Foundation Fellow The Homecoming parade this year will be held on Thursday, October 9, due to an Inservice Day on Friday, October 10. The parade will start at 1:30 pm at the South elementary School and the route will be as follows: Lincoln Street to Main Street to Church Street to Mill street and ending at the North Elementary' School. If any organization would like to be part of the parade, immediately notify Cindy Fuhrer at (847) 669-5171 ext. 110 or stop by the Huntley High School Office and fill out a parade form no later than Monday, October 6. The King and Queen will be crowned at halftime of the Varsity football game on Friday, October 10. Also, the winners of the Homecoming Hoat, Homecoming Banner, and Overall Spirit Competitions will be announced. Below is a list of all events during the Homecoming week. Homecoming Events 1997 Sunday. October 5.1997 6:30 p.m. 7:30-10:00 p.m. Powder Puff Football Game (senior and Freshman vs. Juniors and Sophomores) in Huntley at the Mill Street football field Immediately following the powder puff game, there will be a Bon Fire at the Harmony Road Campus. Buses will be available for Huntley students to ride out to the Harmony Road Campus for the Bon Fire after the game. Monday. Octobers. 1997 Dress up: Pajama Day Vote for Homecoming Court in English classes 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Float Building in Bus Bam Tuesday. October 7.1997 Dress Up: Cross Dress Day 2:00 p.m. Practice Halftime events 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Float Building in Bus Barn Wednesday. Octobers. 1997 Dress Up: 7:25 a.m. 2:00 p.m. 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. 7:30 p.m. Toga Day Banners Hung in Cafeteria Vote for Queen & King Float Building in Bus Bam Alumni Basketball game sponsored by NHS Thursday. Ambassadors Club Fall Fest The Ambassadors Club of The Huntley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Fall Fest After- hours Mixer on Wednesday, October 8th at 6:00pm at Parkside Pub in Huntley. Brats, burgers, beer and wine will be served. You are invited to kick off your shoes and join us for a relaxing evening in the beer garden. A 50/50 raffle prize drawing will be held. Huntley Park District is having a Halloween Craft Project event on Thursday, October 2 from 7 - 8:30 pm at Deicke Recreation Center. Bring your neighbors and have a great time (great for beginners!). All supplies are provided. To register, call te Park Office. Cost for this event is $9 (in district), $12 (out of district). Fall Fun at TOM's Begins This Weekend . By Joyce Liput Have you noticed, while driving east of Huntley on Algonquin Road? Tom's Farm Market is putting up their annual Halloween and Fall "Festival of Fun!" Starting this weekend, October 4 & 5, and running Columbus Day and Saturdays and Sundays thruOcL 26, Tom's offers a wonderland of fun. Sure you can select your pumpkins from the mounds in the yard. But, you can even ride the tractor-pulled wagon out to the field to "pick your own" pumpkin. Tom's annual favorite, the Suaw Maze, is set up to lead young and old a merry chase. Youngsters can enjoy the Giant Pumpkin Jumper, face-painting and pony rides. A variety of Fall decorations and plants are also available to bring seasoa'j beauty to your home.
