Youth Present Drama At Morning Star Church
Morning Star World Outreach Church presents a special service on Palm Sunday, March 23, 1997 at 10am. A drama titled "We Didn't Know Who You Were" will be presented by the Moming Star Youth Ministry. The drama is a retrospect on the life of Christ as seen through the eyes of those who had contact with Him before His death, burial and resurrection. Admission is free. Are you looking for something more in your relationship with God? Come celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with us and experience an oasis of God's love! Nursery, Children's Church and Youth Ministry will be available. Regular service times are Sundays at 10am and 6pm. Wednesdays at 7:30pm and Friday Night Alive is held Fridays at 7:30pm. Joy Community Church Comes to Huntley
HHS To Present "Guys & Dolls"

Huntley High School presents "Guys & Dolls." This classic Broadway musical will take place Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3, at 7pm, in the grade school gym. The thirty-six 8th through 12th grade students who make up the cast and crew are already hard at work. Michelle Sopchyk, renowned choreographer, is teaching them the intricate dance steps. Professional musicians will join our own extraordinarily talented high school musicians in the orchestra pit. It promises to be an evening of first class entertainment. Reserved seat tickets will soon be available through the high school office.

On Palm Sunday, March 23, Huntley is launching a new faith community and you are invited. At 9:30am, the Huntley Elementary School will resound with the voices of folks from all walks of life coming together to celebrate God's love for us in Jesus Christ. During the worship hour, an infant/toddler nursery is provided by trained professionals. And a pre-school nursery is led by caring parents. All other children are encouraged to participate as a family in the worship of God.
Joy Community is a New Church Development of the Presbyterian Church USA. We are new in many ways..we have a new vision of church. We believe every person is a beloved child if God. We have a new leadership style. We approach worship and life as a team. We are new in the way we treat children. Joy Community is child-friendly, meeting the needs of the youngest among us.
Singers from as far away as Pennsylvania are coming to assist Joy Community's local choir. The
choir will be performing "Coronation" with local singers coming from Elgin, Huntley, Algonquin, and Crystal Lake. Music enhances Joy Community's worship. Singers of all ages participate in a graded vocal and chimes choir program and offer people an opportunity to either play or sing.

Huntley's Severe Weather Warning Policy

The Huntley Police Department would like to familiarize the citizens of Huntley with the Severe Weather Warning Policy. The tornado warning siren is tested on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30AM.
The siren will be activated only when a tornado warning has been issued. A tornado warning will
only be announced when a funnel cloud has been spotted in the area. Areas that would generate a warning are: McHenry, Northern Kane or Boone Counties. When activated, the tornado siren emits a continuous high-low tone for three minutes. When the siren is activated take cover immediately. We recommend all citizens have a
battery operated radio tuned to a local radio station for weather information. We do not activate an all clear siren. Please do not call 911 for weather updates.
If you spot a funnel cloud, take cover and call 911. Do no attempt to call the Police Department non¬ emergency phone number.
Eggciting Egg Decorating
Dying Easter eggs does not have to be a wet, messy, troublesome chore! Come make different kinds of Easter eggs with us at Deicke Park. We will make a Paper Punch Rabbit with those annoying little scraps of paper, and a Woolly sheep using cotton swabs. You will also learn techniques to make additional masterpieces at home. Cat. Jeffers instructs. Class starts on March 27th from 3:30-4:30. Their is a fee.for the class. Call 669-3180 to register.
Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
Join us at Deicke Park, March 28th from 7-8:30pm, for an evening of egg hunting with a flashlight! Check in at the Recreation Center prior to 7pm. After the hunt enjoy cake, ice cream, refreshments and collect your prizes! Dress appropriately for the outdoors and bring a flashlight. Open for anyone 9-12 years old. Small fee/
Breakfast And Easter Egg Hunt At Deicke Park
On March 29th from 9:15- 10:45am you can start the day having breakfast with the Easter Bunny and then join the Easter egg hunt at Deicke Park. The egg hunt for preschoolers is at Ham and grades K-i at 1pm. There arc a lot of activities planned including a visit from the Easter Bunny himself! An egg hunt with prizes will be held for kids up to the 4th grade. No registration is necessary, a small donation will be collected for the egg hunt.
