Grafton Township Plans Open House
Grafton Township has expanded their office space at I0I09 Vine Street in Huntley. The Board recognized the need for additional space required for the rapid growth in Grafton Township. The Board achieved this accomplishment through fore-sight and frugal spending. Another room has been added to the Assessor's Office. A new room was added for the Supervisor with an adjoining room for the Food Pantry. The old
Supervisor's room is now the Town Clerk's office and supply room. The Road Commissioner's office and conference room have been redecorated to match the new addition. An open house is planned for Saturday, June Mth from 10am to 12pm. Crystal Lake and Huntley Boy Scouts will raise the flag. Public is invited to meet the Township Officials and view the new addition.

The Huntley Banking Center branch of the First Nafional Bank of Marengo celebrated the start of their Save-A-Saurus Savings Club for kids with a birthday party for Sammy Saurus on May 31.
Big green dinosaur footprints led from the bank entrance to the sign-up desk, where bank personnel helped the little savers open their accounts. Two "dinosaurs" helped the kids pick a "dinosaur egg" with a surprise inside and a gift from the treasure chest. Kids also signed-up for a chance to win a cute stuffed baby dinosaur who makes giggly- growly noises and wiggles when you tickle its nose. The baby dinosaur winner was Alyssa Secreto. Specially constructed steps allow little savers to stand at the teller window to make their own transactions. The steps will remain at the bank so they cam come anytime to do their banking.
Kids can join the Save-A-Saurus Savings Club at any time with a $10 minimum deposit to open an account (or transfer from an exisfing children's account). Club members receive a free Sammy Saurus or Dino-Can bank, Save- A-Saurus membership card, and Sammy Saurus passbook, plus a quarterly newsletter and a surprise gift with deposits. You're never too young to leam to save for the future, and now it's also fun.
