Huntley's Ghostly Homes!
Several local residents decorated their homes for Halloween this year. Doug & Judy Vierck made their yard on W. Main Street into a spooky graveyard, (top &. right picture) A home on Second Street has several ghostly Hgures in their yard, (above)
Lioness Dedicate Pavillion
Come one and all!
The Huntley Lioness Club would like to invite everyone to the Dedication of the Lioness Pavillion in Ol' Timer's Park on Sunday, Nov. 4, at 1:00 pm. Weather permitting, we will play
bingo at the pavillion.
Our Pavillion was built with money from the bingo fund. We would especially like to see our regular bingo players at the park. Come and see what we're doing with your money. Cake and coffee will be served.
Lioness hosts Bingo every Monday night at the American Legion starting at 6:45pm with our early-bird special. The Jackpot is $500, with a consolation prize of $100. Anyone over 18 is welcome to play.
Grafton Township Minutes
The regular monthly meeting of the Grafton Town Board of Trustees was held at the Grafton Township Building at 7:30pm. The following officers were present: Trom, Brunschon, Rhodes, Ziller, Borhart.
The Board of Trustees meet at 7:00pm for the purpose of auditing the Township's books. They found them to be in order. The minutes of the previous meeting was presented and read. A motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Borhart to approve the minutes as read. Roll call: all ayes; nays none.
The Treasurer's report was presented and read. A motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Trom to approve the report as read. Roll call: all ayes; nays none.
At this time Jim Ketchmark explained his audit of the Township books.
A motion was made by Rhodes and seconded by Trom to approve the Town & R. & B. Audit. Roll call: all ayes; nays none.
Road Commissioner reported on general road work and maintenance. The Road Commissioner stated that he would like to transfer $10,000.00 from 2.24 (other improvements road) to 2.23 (Equipment Bid Purchase or Lease). A motion was made by Ziller, seconded by Borhart to grant said request. Roll call: all ayes; nays none.
Road Commissioner stated that he would like to pay for a new truck which might come in before the next meeting ($28,195.00). A motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Trom to grant said request. Roll call: all ayes; nays none.

A motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Trom to transfer $15,000.00 from R. & B. CD. Fund to R. & B. Fund. Roll call: all ayes; nays none.
Assessor reported that book 1 was done and working on book 3.
At this time bids were opened for a copier as advertised: Xerox, model #5034, $8,646.00; Xerox, mmodel #5018ZTA, $5,508.00; Minolta EP4230, no options, $3,199.00; Canon NP#3325, $4,611.00; Canon NP#3825, $5,264.00. No action was taken at this time.
Supervisor reported on forming a planning commission.
Stated that Township Officials of Illinois at Springfield for meeting. Mr. Brunschon and Mrs. Borhart plan to attend.
Being no further business a motion was made by Ziller and seconded by Borhart to adjourn at 9:35pm. Motion carried.
