Del Webb Names Lead Consultants
Huntley Park District to Open Workout Room Sept 2
The Del Webb Corporation has announced that Smith Engineering Consultants, Inc. of McHenry will be the "lead consultant" on the proposed Sun City project in Huntley.
Smith Engineering will be responsible for coordinating all consultants as well as providing design and construction services for most infrastructure improvements including transportation, roadways, sanitary sewer, storm water management.
water distribution and supply, land surveying, grading and various other related Civil Engineering services. The project is expected to take 10 to 12 years to complete.
Smith Engineering was selected by Del Webb due to their experience, quality and service in dealing with projects of this type. Smith Engineering has been in business since 1981 and provides municipal and civil engineering design and construction services.
After many months of planning, the Huntley Park District is pleased to announce the opening of "The Workout Room" on Tuesday, September 2. "The Workout Room" is located in the Huntley Tech Center on Main Sl/Dundee Road across the parking lot from the Huntley Police Station. The facility is designed to provide both the residents and business community in Huntley and surrounding area a convenient location in which to exercise.
"The Workout Room" features Paramount Weight Training equipment, Precor Treadmills, Tetrix recumbent bicycles, Schwinn Air Dyne Bicycles and a variety of free weights, a shower and changing facilities are also available. Fitness Classes will be offered in the moming and evening and child care will be available from 9-11 am Monday through Saturday and from 6:00-7:30 pm Monday through Thursday. The hours are currently set for 6:30am
- 1:00 pm Monday through Friday; 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm Monday through Thursday; 7:00am - 1:00 pm on Saturday. The park district expects to be expanding these hours as membership grows. Participants can either purchase a yearly membership or a non-member ten visit pass.
