The Huntley Farmside is pleased to introduce you to three new teachers this week. Huntley High School has added several new faces to its teaching team. Here are three of the new teachers who have joined the staff. Watch future issues of The Huntley Farmside for more new grade and high school teacher features. .%^4 '¦v^ Sandra Schultz is a Huntley Grade School alumnus back as a full-time fourth grade aide to Mrs. McGuine and Mrs. LaLoggia. She teaches math, English, and reading groups. Schultz is a recent graduate of Northern Illinois University and recently married. Some will remember her as Sandra Stallbaum. Anita Murray is a new second grade teacher and a graduate of Illinois State University. She was a substitute teacher for Cook and Du Page County 13th year. Murray was married last month and lives in Aurora, IL. She and her husband are looking to move to the Huntley area. Elisa Kriz, affectionately known as E.J., is the new band director of the band program for high school and 5th through 12th at Huntley Grade School. Prior to coming to Huntley, Kriz taught in Jasper, IN. for two years. Kriz is a graduate of the University of Illinois where she was a standout musician and member of the Marching mini Band. Michelle Barnum is the new Chapter I Reading Instructor. Barnum is a first year teacher and a recent graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. Orginally from Wheaton, IL. Barnum currently lives there but says she is looking to move to the Huntley area. Steve Heilman has taken over the life science program at the high school and will teach Geology, Biology I and AP Biology. In addition, Heilman is also the Freshman/Sophomore assistant football coach and the Freshman/Sophomore baseball coach. Last year, Heilman was on the coaching staff of Edgerton High School, WI. whose team won the Class B State Baseball title. Joni Van Zummerman is the new Special Education Instructor. In addition, Zummerman will be the Sophomore Class Advisor. Originally from Waupaca, WI. Zummerman received her teaching degree from University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. Prior the coming to Huntley Zummerman taught for two years in Minnesota.
