Scoutmaster Chuck Harp dc Rev. Woodruff welcomed the scouts and their famUies. Scoutmaster Harp tatroduced Larry Basel and his famUy. He thanked Mr. Baael for the contributions of milk to the scouts from Dean's Milk. Following the delicious pot luck meal, scouttag awards were presented. Mr. Harp announced that the ChUi Supper had made S700 this year and was highly successful. Chris Page received the highest Conttaued on Page 12 The Huntley Athletic Boos¬ ters Oub wUl hold its Annual Valenttae's Day Dance on the eventag of Satlnrday, Pebmary 12, 1983. It is an aduh dance to be held at the Huntley American Legion. Doors wUl open at 8:30 pm and the band is the Dynamics, a group that plays SO's & 60's music. They wUl begm playtag at 9:00 pm. Tickets are $3.00 for a single and SS.OO for a couple. The 50/50 giveaway drawmg wiU be held at this event provided all the tickets are sold by that date. Come out and enjoy yourself. Remember: the money goes for the school athletics and athletics are for kidsl Submitted by Jeannie ZUler Publidty Chairperson VILLAGEBOARO MEETINQ MmUTES OF THE BEGULAR MEETiNG OP THE VnXAGE BOABD OF TRUSTEES The regular medtag of the VUlage Board of Trustee was held on Thursday, February 3, 1983 ta the Board Room of the VUlage Hall and brought to order by President Enstrom at 8:00 p.m. Present were President En¬ strom, Trustee Wicke. Dhamer, Berlta. Mercer, Brown and Rudstaski. Also attendtag were members from the Public Worits Department, as well as Ading Police Chief Richard Rossi. The mtautes of the January 6, 1983 medtag were brought before the Board as the first order of bustaess. There being no additions nor corredions they stood approved as presented. The Finandal reports were also reviewed by the Board. A motion was made by Trustee Mercer, seconded by " Trustee Wicke, to approve the Treasur¬ er's Report for January, 1983 Conttaued on Page 10 BENEFIT DINNER FOR LITTLE STEVE TTie Huntley Lion's Qub held a Benefit Dtaner last Wedneaday for Steve Bergbreitner with a huge turnout. They've ended up ta thc junglel Why, they're even making a monkey out of Tarzan 1 And wait untU you see Janel Fortunately, they are able to hire safari guides Luann Lamz and Barbara Faga to direct and accompany them through sudi "swtagtag" escapades as "Abba-Dabba Honeymoon", "Blue Bayou", "I Talk to the Trees", "Zulu King"; and some of them wUl even attempt "Swtagtag on a Star". Talk about lucky' breaks, they run imo their ballerina friend Kim. who shows them what she had leamed while oh her safari. You won't want to miss this jouraey through the jungle with the hoboes. The men and women of the churdi wUl be preparing the delidous, famUy style all you can eat beef stew dinner which is sure to satisfy your teate buds.
