SANTA COMES TO HUNTLEY
Last Saturday, December 18 the Huntley Park Districi held a Christmas Party for the children of Huntley. Christmas Carols • were sung to greet Santa who gave the children candy canes and coloring books. The children couldn't wait to greet Santa and were then treated to hot chocolate and cxx)kies. Mrs. Betsey Warrington also provided two Disney Cartons to make the day special for the children of Huntley. Continued on Page 6 & 7
GRADE SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CONCERT
Last Monday, the Grade School Concert for Grmdes K-6 was held at the gym. llie concert centetad around "Grandma's Christmas Scrapbook." Grandma was played by Mrs. Gloria Christensen with David MUler, Melanie Blank, Kris Olsen, Heidi Kahl, Donavan Rebecdii, John Goers and Tedd Ream as the^rtiildren.
Eadi grade performed a couple of songs, llie following are the grades and the songs they sang:
6th Grade
"Grandma's Christmas Scrapbook"
Sth Grade "The First Noel" and "We wish you a Merry Christmas"
2nd Grade "Choo Chug a Choo" and "Little Train"
3rd Grade "The First Snow Fall" and "White Christmas"

JAYCEES WILL TEST MICROWAVES
The Huntley area Jaycees will be doing free testing of microwave ovens for leaks from December 26th thru thc 30th. For more information, call Ed Brandwein at 669-5809 or Mark DeVries at 669-3737.
In January, the Jaycees will be looking into starting a Jayceette Chapter in Huntley for women 18-35. More details will be published at a later date.

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR
MEETING OF THE HUNTLEY
PARK DISTRICT
The regular meeting of the Huntley park District was called to order at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December IS, 1982. Present were Commis¬ sioners Borhsrt. Tures, Weh- rien, Jurs. Mrs. Mercer was absent. Also in attendance were Attomey Cowlin, LeRoy Wtr- steg, Kenneth Bakley and David Newkirk of Hampton, Lenzini and Ren wick. Inc., civil engineers.
The board agreed to change the meeting agenda to hear from the guests first.
Mr. Bakley and Mr. Newkirk presented a proposal concerning a tand donatbn of park ute. A lengthy discussion followed. A motion to accept the concept of the proposal was made by Mr. Tures, seoonded by Mr. Jurs. All voted aye and the motion carried. Mr. Bakley and Mr. Newkirk left the meeting.
