Lead by Senior Carlos Velasquez's 11 second half points, 7 from the free throw line, the Indian withstood the School Board Minutes RedsUns comeback attempt. Marengo (22-4) used their height in the first quarter to jump out to a quick 8-2 lead, only to see Huntley tie it up on a Eric Suiter tip at the buzzer 10-10. Marengo drew off again in the second quarter by scoring the first 9 points. Joe Hanson The regular meeting of the Board of Education of School District #158, Huntley Consoli¬ dated Schools, Huntley, Dlinois was held in the High School building on February 13,1986 at 7:30 pm. The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:38 pm. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Schadt, Mr. Heavey, Mr. greve, Mr. Miller, and Mr. Bauman. Absent: Mr. Freeberg. All present joined in the pledge to the flag. 1. Mrs. Schadt moved, Mr. Heavey 2nd to approve the minutes of the January 23, regular meeting as written. 5 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 2. Mr. Miller moved, Mr. Greve 2nd to approve the February 4 building committee report as written. 2 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 3. Mr. Greve moved, Mr. Miller 2nd to approve the February 11, building committee report as written. 2 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 4. Mrs. Schadt moved, Mr. Greve 2nd to go into executive session at 7:53 pm for the purpose of discussing legal matters. Yeas: Schadt, Greve, McDonald, Heavey, Bauman, Miller. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. The Board retumed to Open Session at 10:54 pm. 5. Mr. Greve moved Mr. Bauman 2nd to approve the resignation of Daima Heacht, K aide, the employment of Beverly converted 6 fi«e throws and added 2 jumpshots to end the first half with 8 points. Todd Ream had 8 for Huntley, as they closed the gap to 25-21 at the half. Huntley trailed by 2 at the end of the third quarter 37-35. David Erath added 6 points in the quarter. Sweeney, K aide, and Donna Hecht, early childhood. The renewal of Robert Bunt, David Booth, and Clyde Senters for 1986-87. The retum of Pat Lawlor from leave of absence for 1986-87 school year. The change of assignment of Cora Wood¬ raff, language arts from 3/7 to 4/7. C. William Leggee, reading resource teacher, fit»m 3/7 to 4/7 time. Extra-curricular assignment of Tami Trulock, head softball for 1985-86 season. Yeas: Greve, Bauman, McDonald, Schadt, Heavey, Miller. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 6. Mrs. McDonald moved, Mr. Heavey to adopt BOE Policies 270.03, 73f5, and 735.01. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 7. Mrs. Schadt moved, Mr. Greve 2nd to approve the resolution of preparation of Maregno locked the game up with 3:08 left to play, as Eric Suiter fouled out for Huntley. Carlos Velasque sank both free throw and Marengo lead 51-44. Marengo coach Bill Barry said that free throws were a big part of the game. The Indians converted 18 of 24. Huntley was lead by Todd tentative budget for FY 87. Yeas: Schadt, Greve, McDon¬ ald, Heavey, Miller, Bauman. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 8. Mr. Greve moved, Mrs. McDonald 2nd to approve the resolution for use of interest on real estate dollars. Yeas: Greve, McDonald, Schadt, Heavey, Miller, Bauman. Nays: None. 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried. 9. Mr. Heavey moved, Mr. Bauman 2nd to approve a confract with Industrial Apprai¬ sal Co. to make a certified appraisal of the buildings, fixtures, and equipment of district 158. Yeas: Heavey, Bauman, McDonald, Schadt, Miller. Nays: None. Pass: Greve. 5 yeas - 0 nays -1 pass. Motion curied. 10. Mr. Greve moved, Mr. Heavey 2nd to adjoum at 11:55 Ream's 19 points. Eric Suher had 12 and David Erath 8. had 12 and David Erath 8. Marengo's Carlos V^asque's had a game high 15 points, Joe Hanson collected 13 and Dave Waeghe had 12, for the winning Indians. Marengo moves on the Byrne Section to play Stillman Valley. pm. 6 yeas adjoumed. 0 nays. Meeting Booster's Children's Oothing Sale The children's clothing sale to be held at the Huntley Elementary School Gym is drawing near. All types of children's clothes will be on sale. Sizes to include infant wear, boys sizes up to 20, girls sizes up to junior size and jeans to size 32 waist. NO ADULT CLOTHESI The date has been changed.
