Last Saturday, May 17th, despite the crazy weather, about 20 I young people showed up to fly kites. At times the kites were barely j visable because of the fbg. John LeFabre, kituig expert and maker, flew many of his homemade kites showing the youngster different tediniques. His final try waa a huge (about the size of a compact car) lactedibie HaUi kite.
There were even some young at heart kids such as Mary Jo Mercer, Betsey Warrington and Larry Warrington who flew khes for the fun of it.
The winners were:

MUSIC BOOSTER BAKESALE
The Huntley Music Boosters flrst Rummage ft Bake Sale will be held oa Saturday, May 24tk from 9 am to 4 pm. Weather permitting, \t will be outdoors to front of the schools. In case of rato, the sale will take place in the Multi purpose room of the High School.
There will be several booths with many items to each such as "The Antique Comer", "The Clothes Closet", "Book Shelf*, "Toy Box", "Tifanies (jewel¬ ry)", "The Christmas Spirit", "The Bakery Shoppe", "Linen Sale" and "Garage Sale." Truly somethtog for eVeryone. There will be no sign of mflation at this sale since evetythtog will have an unbelievable low price-tag. (Everything '/i price after 2 pm too.) So oome ft get a bargain and have a fiin day.
Remember aU proceeds will go to the Huntley Music Dept.

LONNA JONES NAMED MISS HUNTLEY
Last Thursday evening. May 15. thc f-rst M.ss Huntley Pageant was held at the Huntley Grade Sdiool Gym sponsored by the Huntley Lion's Club and Lioness Club. A pre-ptogram of rock music waa performed by the "Magnum Force" whidi consists of Tom Brannam. Dave Seeman, Cari Michalek, Andy Omberg and Steve Parisek.
Co-diairman linda BMchart welcomed the audience and said that thete was a lot of beauty here tonight and that aU the candidates were winner. Dean Marlowe, oo^dialrman, waa the Master of Cetcmonies. The caodldatea. Donna Jonea. Sandra Rowe, Ana Landers, Cheryl Schuld. Chria Foeister, Lonna Jones. LaVooae Matheis, Katie Harttog, Robto Maaley and Sumui Schaller. were btxMi^t ooto the stage in their formals and introduced.
