VILLAQE BOARD MINUTES
The July 6th, 1978 Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was brought to order at 8:00 P.M. by President Enstrom in the Board Room ofthe Village Hall.
Present were: President Enstr9m, Trustees Stroupe, Ackman, Lohneis, Mercer and Eisenmenger, as well as Super¬ intendent of Public Works Swanson and Village Engineer Schwegel. The Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Boards were also in attendance.
The minutes of the June Ist. IV78 meeting was the first order uf business. After presentation, there being no additions nor corrections, they stood approv- •ii .T^ presented.

The bills for June were then 'liscussed. After consideration, a motion was marie by Trustee Eisenmenger. seconded by Trustee Ackman. to approve the payment of same and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and It" iiiction carrir-i. The Clerk was instructed to issue payment as per attached listing.
The President then recognized a delegation from the School Board of District 158. Mrs Nancy Livingston. President i' said Board, spoke in thei behalf. She stated their reason for coming before this board was to ask that action be taken regarding the Developer dona¬ tion, which has been under consideration for some time. Attomey CaldweU entered the meeting at this point. The President advised the delega¬ tion that the committee from the village board would take this matter under consideration and would contact the school on their findings. Mrs. Livingston asked that the matter be acted upon at the August meeting.
At this point in the meeting a Public Hearing was convened for the purpose of hearing the Appropriation Ordinance for the fiscal year. May 1, 1978 through the 30th of April, 1979. The first item that was considered was the appropriation in the Federal Revenue Sharing for the Senior Citizens Walk-In Center (a budget was presented each board member). After much discussion. Trustee Stroupe made a motion to amend this item to be the same as appropriated last year (SSOO.OO) and never spent nor requested. Motion died for lack ofa second.
Trustee Ackman then made a motion to appropriate this item at SSOO.OO, seconded by Trustee Eisenmenger. Roll noted the following; Eisenmenger, aye; Mercer, aye; Lohneis, aye; Continued on Inside Page

MCHENRY COUN^r Y NAMED A DISASTER AREA
Governor James R. Thompson declared McHenry County a major disaster area Friday after storms and flash flooding July I and 2.
In addition, the Governor extended the disaster declara¬ tion through July 2 for Winne¬ bago, Grundy, LaSalle and Lee Counties already declared disas¬ ter areas for storms June 25 and 26.
As a follow-up to his earlier declarations on the multi-county damage done by both the June
and July storms, the Govemor asked the U.S, Dept. of Agricul¬ ture to designate Grundy, LaSalle, Lee. McHenry, White¬ side and Winnebago as countiea eligible for emergency loans to farmers to aid in their recovery efforts.
Thompson also added McHen¬ ry County to his request of Jiue 29 to the U.S. Small Business Administration that busbiesses damaged by the storms be eligible for low bterest loans. An estimated SI,5 minion in Continued on Inside Page

The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 28, 1978. Present were Commissioners Tures. Ruth. Macket>"n and Deickt (iiiiiniissioners Borhart was absent Also in attendance were Attorney Cowlin, I arry Kahl and Glen Delaney.
The minutes of the May 24. 1978 meeting were read. Mr. Mackeben moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Tures. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.

Glen Delaney asked the board to purchase advance tickets for the trip to the Cubs double- header on July 16. The board granted his request.
The bills for the month were presented for payment. A motion to approve payment wu made by Mr. Mackeben, se¬ conded by Mr. Deicke, All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
A discussion concerning the insurance policies was held. The board decided to hold a special meeting to study premiums and coverage.
The Annual Budget for the fiscal year, May 1, 1978 through April 30, 1979, was presented. Mr. Ruth moved to accept the Annual Budget, seconded by Mr. Borhart. AU Conunissioiien voted aye and the ' motion carried.
