On Tuesday, August 16, in spite of the extreme heat, 35 donors responded. 33 units of blood were obtained with 2 deferrals. This means 99 people in 24 hospitals will be helped as each unit of blood can help three patients.
Why should you donate? Because your donation saves three lives. Donating blood is convenient and safe and makes you, the donor, a member of an elite group of quiet heroes.
Aurora Area Blood Bank says, "Please thank everyone who was instrumental in making this Blood Drive a success."
Your Huntley Chairman,
