Those members of the board present were Joe Gow, Ed Domagalski, Paul Mercer and Jack Daum. Also present were Mayor Dhamer and Building Inspector Spradlin. The minutes of the July 11, 1988, meeting were read. Mr. Daum moved to accept the minutes as read. Mr. Gow seconded. Motion carried. The agenda was read. Mr. Schachtner entered the meeting at this time. The flrst order of business was presented by Mr. Pete Boll of Repco. The Chairman read a letter from Dick Mills of Baxter tc Woodman regarding Mr. Boll's property, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A. Mr. Boll is proposing a 7800 square foot industrial warehouse in Kishwaukee Industrial Park. Mr. Domagalski questioned the one water hook-up. Mr. Boll explained that they pay water bill for whole building. It is possible the building could be rented out to four tenants. Mr. Domagalski questioned why four separate manholes weren't then needed. Mr. Boll said that many times they only get one or two tenants for this size building. Mr. Daum moved to accept Continued on page 5 Blood Bank Results Debbie Barnes and friend relaxing after a great day for Huntley's FFA The 1988 Section VI FFA Fair was held at the Boone County Fairgrounds, August 10, 1988. Huntley had an overwhelming success. FFA members say the reason everyone likes to show at the fair is to have a good time and meet new people from different places. Pictures on Page 8 On Tuesday, August 16, in spite of the extreme heat, 35 donors responded. 33 units of blood were obtained with 2 deferrals. This means 99 people in 24 hospitals will be helped as each unit of blood can help three patients. Why should you donate? Because your donation saves three lives. Donating blood is convenient and safe and makes you, the donor, a member of an elite group of quiet heroes. Aurora Area Blood Bank says, "Please thank everyone who was instrumental in making this Blood Drive a success." Your Huntley Chairman, also, wishes to express her gratitude to the many peopie who worked to make this Blood Drive on a HOT August day successful. Our next scheduled drive is March 28, 1989. Please don't let the snow or cold keep you awayl Type "O' Needed Blood The Aurora Area Blood Bank is experiencing a critical shortage on type O blood. Both O positive and O negative blood inventories have been depleted by normal patient usage in the 26 hospitals totally supplied by Aurora. This represents a 150 unit decrease in the normal type O blood inventory. The Aurora Area Blood Bank is asking that anyone of type O positive or O negative blood donate within the next week at any of their locations listed below: DuPage Blood Center at Central DuPage Hospital 25 Winfleld Rd.
