Christmas Concert Great.
It might not be Easter, and there's no parade, but our Ann Tirk was definitely the "grand¬ est lady" at the Jr, Sr High Christmas Concert last week.
Dressed in a green velvet skirt with matching jacket, Mrs. Tirk looked stunning against the red robes of the Huntley Chorus. The new white stoles with the red "H" looked great over the red robes. They incidently, were made by Dorothy Swanson, Sharon Su¬ song and Sharon Collins, who all received certificates of apprecia¬ tion from the music department. Making the stoles saved the ' tIepM tmein -jyriHH^»»- bk- of money.
The concert this year had some fun numbers in it. The Huntley Singers performed a song called "Fruitcake" ( est- ures and all) and Ted Manning practically stole the show with his part. Other performances in a series of "Jingle Bells Thru The Ages" were outstanding. (Pictures Elsewhere)
The Jr. High and Sr. High Bands, under the direction of Gary Glowacz, was alio delight with an array o^ Christmas songs. Unfortunately the band is not pictured, as the Ijrres would obscure the faces of the musicians which would be a shame. They did a marvelous job though.
The entire concert was a joy to watch and everyone who partici¬ pated put a lot of work into it. especially Ann Tirit and Gary Glowacz.
Thaiiks for an enjoyable evening.
