Paul D. Clem, 17, waa arrested
• last Wednesday, June 28th, after
a high speed chase orginating ia
Huntiey and ending at HalUgus
Rd. north of Huntiey.
Gem, an escaped convict ttOm Lake County Jail was observed by Officer John Benson of the Huntiey PoUce Department as be drove a 1972 Ford south bound oa Church St. The Ford was later determined to be a stolen vehide iroms Grays Lake.
Officer Benson noticed that the :ar had no left tall light add no , icense plate visible . He fi41owed the vehicle down Rt. 47 to further investigate the vehicle. At Rtfed Rd. Officer Benson attemped to stop suspiciouc vehicle. At that time, tried to flee and elude tbe Huntiey Police, Officer Benson called for assistance from Huntiey Police Officer Heinrich and County and State Police for assistance. After a cfaaae, the- speed exceeding 95 mph on McHenry Couaty aad OnUge Township Roads. Clem was apprehended at Halligus Rd. At the time of the arrest Qem haa two juvenals who were released ia the Custody of their parents.
Clem was charged with disobeying a stop sign and unsafe tires by State police. Huntley police charged him with fleeing an eluding a police offlcer, driving with flo valid licence, improper lane usage,
improperative tail light. It was determined at the Huntiey PoUce station thatthe vehicle was stolen from Grays Lake and that Paul Gem was wanted on an escape warrant from the Lake County Jail. Gem was transported from the McHenry County Jail to the Lake Coenty Jail under a $50,000 bond. >'

Any student new to District 158, and all students entering kindergarten, fifth grade and ninth grade must have a physical and dental examination before the first day of school. Physical forms may be picked up in the high school office Monday thrfl Friday from 9:00 am to 4;00 pm.
School registration days will be Tuesday August 9 and Wednes¬ day 10 in the High School. The first day of school wUl be Monday August 29.
