A large crowd turned out for an enJoyat>le evening of games of chance The Jayoees hold such events as Las Vegas Nite and the Haunted House so that they can support Little League and other \AM3rthwhlle events. RStaUtaum RotiNfesh DAR VVtoer SAR Vtoier The Chancel Choir "Hoboes" of the First Congregational Church, under the very able direction of Mr. William Leggee and accompanied by Mrs. Dean Marlowe and Miss LuAnn Lamz, presented their 15th annual Hobo Show and Dinner in their usual "hobo" fashion, to a full house. They received a standing ovation after each show, for which the theme was "Songs of the Decades" or "Moldy Oldies". The show began with the choir filing in to "Johnny Comes Marching Home." Other songs, sung between the usual jokes and merriment, were "Sentimental Journey", "Chattanooga Choo Choo", "Love", "Rambling Rose". "Old Oaken Bucket". "Seeing Nellie Home", "Wait for the Wagon", and "My Old Kentucky Home". The "High School Kids" swung out with "Rockin' Robin", and an encore number "Blueberry Hill" with Steve Parisek as soloist. Mr. Larry Warrington stopped the show with 'his way' of singing "My Way", after which the Bottle Stoppers played "You Are My Sunshine". The male voices of the choir then performed "Aura Lee" in barbershop?! fashion, followed by a guitar and vocal duet by Randy Leggee and Steve Schachtner as "Black Mist", doing "I'm Easy" and "I've Been Down Your Road Before", the latter of which was written by Randy Leggee. Bill Continued on Inside Page During the four years Huntley High School, Brenda has beea in band.and chorus, ai member of McHenry County Honors band for three consecu^ tive years and is currently National Honor Society Presi¬ dent and Senior Class Treasur¬ er. She was a delegate to 1977 Illini Girls state. Outside of school she is Walther League President and church organist and accompanist. She also maintains a part-time job as a horses aide at Woodstodc Hos¬ pital. After graduation she plans on attending college and receiving a Bachelor's Degree of Sdence in Nursing and becoming an Air Ron Marsh faas been involved in football for four years, three years of basketball and two years of baseball. He has also been FF^ President for two years, a student council Vice President, a class Vice Presi¬ dent twice and class President twice. VILLAQE BOARD MINUTES The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held in the Board Room of the VUlage Hail on March 2. 1978 at»d was called to order by the Presient at 8:00 P.M. Those present were: President Enstrom, Trustees, Mercer, Eisenmenger. Lohneis, Stroupe, Ackman as well as villagae Engineer Schwegel and the Chairmen of the Planning and Zoning Commissions. It was announced that bids for the Sewage Treatment Plant Influent Sewer Replacement were now closed as it was 8:00 P.M. but that they would be opened later in the meeting pending the arrival ofthe village attorney. President Enstrom presenter the minutes of Feburary 2, 19'^^' to the trustees and there bein(> no additions nor corrections, they stood approved as read. The financial reports were thei discussed. A motion was madt. by Trustee Stroupe, seconded by Trustee Lohneis. to approve the treasurer's report as pre¬ sented and therie!being all ayes. apon t<rii cali.'tl*e inotuv cartied. (letter ot 2/23/78) the number of check ing accounts, as well as tht commercial savings, be combi' ed into a minimum of three four as necessary, noting th presently there are approx. mately eight. SaiJ motion was seconded by Trustee Mercer, and upon roll call, all trustee- voted aye and the motioi carried. It was also noted thi^ the coileaor should notify th clerk when deposits are made si the accounts are on a current basis. Next, the bills were presented and discussed. A motion was made by Trustee Stroupe. seconded by Trustee Ackman. to approve the payment of same. Upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and motion carried. The Clerk was instruc¬ ted to issue payment. Attomey Caldwell then entered the meeting. President Enstrom announced that the bids as set out above were now to be opened and he tumed the meeting over to Mr. Schwegel. Mr. Schwegel advis¬ ed the meeting thifit there was only one bid to be opened and this was: Kucli & Ingram. Inc., Russell, Illinois, total amount of proposal: $159,764.00 and days to complete: ISO caletidar days. A 10% Bid Bond was also indttded in the pn^siU.
