HUNTLEY PAKK DISTKICT
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8 P.M. on Wednesday, January 26, 1983 by Vice President Tures. Present were Commissioners Tures, Mercer, Weltzien and Jurs and Attorney Cowlin. Absent were Commissioners Borhart and LeRoy Wirsing.
The minutes of the December 15th meeting were read. A motion to approve the minutes were made by Mr. Weltzien and seconded by Mr. Jurs. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
The bills for the month were presented, which included a bil! of $285.25 for repair of vandalism damage. A motion to pay all bills was made by Mrs. Mercer, seconded by Mr. Tures. All ayes and the motion carried.
Thirty-five requests for reser¬ vations of park facilities were presented. A motion to accept these reservations was made by Continued on Page 2
ATHLETIC BOOSTERS VALENTINE DANCE
The Huntley Athletic Boos¬ ters Qub will hold its Annual Valentme's Day Dance on the evening of Saturday, February 12, 1983. It is an aduh dance to be held at the Huntley American Legion. Doors will open at 8:30 pm and the band is the Dynamics, a group that plays SO's A 60's music. They will begin playing at 9:00 pm. Tickets are $3.00 for a single and $5.00 for a couple. The 50/50 giveaway drawfaig will be held at this event provided all the tickets are sold by that date. Come out and enjoy yourself. FAMILY FILMS THIS SUNDAY
Sunday, February 6th marks the beginnfaig of the Focus on the Family film series.
From 3:00 - 4:30, the first film entitled "The Strong-Willed Child" will be shown fai the Fellowship Hall of the 1st Congregational Churdi.

On Friday. January 29di, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the Huntley Senior Citizen housfaig Devetopmeat. Coaatructtoa of "Green Trees" which ia located on the eaat end of the Village, will begin almost fanmediatdy and plans are to have it completed by August 31, 1983. Nancy Brisooe of the McHeory Connty Housfaig Authority, welcomed many guests from State, Coanty and local governments. State Representative Jill Zwid waa instramental in helping to get the project approved and Ms. Briscoe ezpressed her appredatton to Rep. Zwick and all the people who had oontributed toward that goal. Foltowfaig the groundbreaUng ceremony, guest were treated, to a bountiful pot luck dbner by the Huntley Sentor Citizen Club. Hostesses were Leona Bimdgard and Kate Boncosky. A spedal thank you to Robin Kunde and Virginia Brunschon for their help snd oontributtons on both days.
A film was shown from the tourism bureau of Midiigan. Due to the time element only a short meetfaig foltowed. Presidem Kreutzer thanked all those who helped with the special two day celcbrattona. More than 100 people had attended the Center and Club meeting for the two days. Qmtlnaedon Page?
