This year the Santa's Fund held their Annual Halloween Party at the Huntley Grade School gym at 7:30 p.m.   The costumes were ¦ judged by Jean Britton, Elmer Britton, Millie Ruth and Helen Ruth. Chuck Ruth was the MC.
This year the children were placed in their grade level and then groups of 12 were judged. Preschoolers winning were Brian Goehl, Matt and Jimmy Brown and Amy Rosenthal.  Some other winners were Jenny Freund, Stephanie Goehl and Christopher Snelley for 2nd and 3rd place.
The following is the grades and the winners: Kindergarten: 1st place, Lee Ann Zuchir, 2nd place, Julie Murphy, 3rd place, Brian Elwood.
1st Grade: 1st place Mark Grismer and Shelley Ray, 2nd place, Greg Kabance and David Simpson, 3rd place, Laura Brackman and Michael Stolldorf.
2nd Grade: 1st place, Bonnie Ray, Chris Hutchison, and Ben Sheets, 2nd place, Gwen Ziller, Steven Hartman and Jamie Ryan,

DEE'S GREEN DIAMOND

GRAND OPENING
Last February, Dee and Eugene Conforti purchased the building which is known as Dee's Green Diamond on Route 47. Since that time the Conforti family has remodled the structure inside and out with paneling and wood front making it into a relaxing, warm resturant.
The Conforti's with their three sons Eugene, John and Albert had several years ago run a small coffee shop.
Last Tuesday, November 1st Dee's Green Diamond held a Grand Opening which was a huge success. Many residents enjoyed the surroundings of their new family dining room. The Conforti's announced lar.t week that they would be selling fresh donuts nude three times daily in their kitchen. Since then they have been swamped with orders for their fresh donuts and have had to make extra batches to keep up with the demand.
The Conforti family has made their home in Huntley and hopes to spend many years serving this community with their flne food.
Do you know what this is? You can find out all about it at the Fire Department Open House on Wednesday, November 16th at the Huntley Fire Station at 7 P.M.
The Huntley Firemen cordially invite all Huntley residents to their annual Open House. This year they have a new piece of equipment to show you and they would like to explain to you why it is necessary and what <ts function is.
"There will also be slides on how to administer artificial breathing and heart massage. More and more persons are learning these techniques and the Huntley Firemen like to show you how to do it.
Free blood pressure test will be given at the Open House. A verv informative movie on Fire Prevention will be shown. It is called "The Silent One" and could help people of all ages to prevent fires.

VILLAGE BOARD MINUTES
The Regulat Meeting of the Village Board of Tustees was held in the Board Room of the Village Hall on November 3, 1977 and brought to order at 8:00 P.M.
Present at the meeting were: President Ensrom, Trustees Lohneis, Ackman, Mercer, Prank and Stroupe. Also present were Attorney Caldwell. Don Schwegel, Village Engineer and Percy Swanson, Public Vi'orks Superintendent. The Chairman of the Planning and Zoning ! Commissions were also present.
The October 6, 1977 minutes were brought before the Board and there being no additions nor corrections, they stood approved as presented.
The next order of business were the monthly financial re¬ ports. Trustee Stroupe brought notice of a discrepancy between the Treasurer's Report and the Managerial Report in the Water and Sewer Operating Fund and the Cemetary Fund to the atten¬ tion of the Board. TheQerkwaa asked to seek answers to tbesei He also stated that the auditing firm should change the name of the Construction Account to coin¬ cide with the Treasurer's heading so as to alleviate any misunder¬ standing of the account. With these remarks, he made a motion to approve of the siad reports, seconded by Trustee Ackman, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
Bills for the current month were reviewed and found to be in order. A motion was made by Trustee Ackman, seconded by Trustee Lohneis, to approve of the payment of same and the Qerk was instructed to pay their amounts. Upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. A listing of same is attached hereto.

The Huntiey Lions Qub Pancake Breakfast was held last Sunday, November 6th «t the Huntiey Grade School Gym. 419 people attended this year. Members of the Qub cooked the pancakes and eggs in the school corridors while the sausage was cooked in the cafeteria.
The Lions would like to thank all those who attended and also those who helped with the cooking and clean-up.
