All these men sent letter requesting this stop light and worked towards the day when the lights would become a reality. The late Rep. Bruce Waddell was also one of the main supporters of a traffic light and spent a great deal of time trying to get the light for Huntley. JAYCEES CIRCUS SEPT. 11 The Huntley Area Jaycees in an effort to procure community service, will be holding a Circus on Thursday, Sept. llth. The Circus which is run by the Franzen Bros, will be set up north of the Huntley Center off. Route 47. There will be tKaJ performances' one at 6:00 and one at 8:00 p.m. There will be refreshments and fun for all. Be sure to come out and support this worthwhile event. CUB SCOUTS SIGN UP On September 11, 1980 at 7 p.m. in the Congregational Church Social Hall, there wil! be a Scout Sign Up for boys having completed 2nd grade or reach¬ ing the age of 8. The regular meeting of the /illage Board of Trustees was held on September 4, 1980 at 8:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Village Hall and brought to order by President Enstrom. those present were: President Enstrom, Trustees Stroupe, Rudsinski, Dhamer, Mercer and Lamb, as well as Engineer Schwegel, Attomey Szura and members of the I*ublic Works Department. Absent was Trus¬ tee Wicke. President Enstrom brought as the first order of business the minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 7th, 1980 and the Special Meeting held August 19th, 1980 for Board approval. The Redskin defense was superior, holding Mooseheart to a 0 score. The offense did very well. There were many penalties on both sides. The starting lineup for the Skins was Quarterback. Dale Erath; Fullback, Adam Brunschon; Rt. Halfback, Jim Goehl; Lt. Halfback, Steve Doyle; Ends, pat Schweiger and Steve Parisek; Tackles, Bob Brannam and Dave Eeg; Guards. Troy Roesslein and Jim Briscoe and Center, Len Allen. Huntley took possession ofthe ball with Doyle going to the 45 on a hand off from Goehl. Goehl gained a yard while Brunschon picked up 4. Huntley had the ball at the Mooseheart 42. Brunschon went to the 36. Huntley fumbled and recovered going to the 33. Huntley relinquished the ball to Mooseheart at the 25. Steve Reynolds and Dave Eeg held Mooseheart runners to the 27 and then pushed him back to the 32. Huntley was in possession with Doyle at the 46. Goehl gained 2 yards and then made a terrific 26 yd. run to the Mooseheart 26. Goehl went to the 16 on a pass. Doyle added 3 yds. but Huntley had a 15 yd. penalty. On a terrific pass by Erath, Parisek moved to the 3 yd. line. Goehl went in for the TD. Jim Briscoe kicked the extra point for a 7-0 score. Mooseheart took over at their 28. Reynolds, Brunschon, Rpesslein and Lindsey held the team. Goehl caught the kickoff going to the 48. Brunschon went to the Mooseheart 28. Doyle added 11 yds. while Goehl moved to the 10. Parisek moved the ball to the 3 and Brunschon went in for the TD. The extra point was no good. Mooseheart couldn't get any yardage. Goehl took the kickoff from the 48 to the 26. Reynolds moved to the 32. Parisek made a TD on a pass for a 13-0 score. The extra point was kicked by Briscoe. Mooseheart took the kickoff to the 30. Eeg held a Moosehart play. They gained 15 yds. on a penalty to the 45. Moosehart fumbled but recoved. Schweiger and Briscoe pulled them back to the 37. Huntley took possession and Goehl went to the Mooseheart 34. Goehl went to the 25 on a pass. The half ended. Mooseheart started out the second half by fumbling. Reynolds recovered at the 24, Brunschon went to the 15 and Doyle to the 9. Schweiger moved to the 4 on a pass completion. Brunschon made another TD but no extra point. Mooseheart made their 2nd 1st down of the game. They fumbled Continued on Page 5
