The Huntley Park district will be sponsoring cross country skiing at Deicker Park on Sat. January 24 A Sat., February 7. You may attend the moming class from 10:00 - noon or the aftemoon class from 1:30 - 3:30. The fee for the two sessions is $10.00 if you rent equipment and $6.00 ifyou have your own. The instructors wil! be from Outdoor Recreation, Inc. in Woodstock. Cross-country skiing is a relatively easy sport. Beginners will leam tums and manuevers, uphill and downhill skills and how to choose gear. Deadline for ski sizes and for registration is Jannaiy 13. We must have 10 people for each ^session in order to have the class. To register, call Betsey Warrington at the Park District office on either Wed. from 9:00-11:00 a.m. or on Sat. from 10:00 - noon at 669-3180 or else at home at 669-5573.
VOLLEYBALL FOR YOUNGSTERS
Boys and girls in grades 5-8, be sure and register for intramural volleyball sponsored by the Huntley Park. Dist. The sessions will begin on Sat., January 10 and continue through Sat., Feb. 28 and will be held at the Huntley Grade School. The cost is $4.00 for residents of the Park Dist. and $5.00 for non-residents. Fifth &: sixth grade will play from 1:00 - 2:30 and Seventh A Eighth grade will play from 2:30 - 4:00. Last Tuesday, December 30th, the Huntley Redskins played the Marengo Indians for the toumament championship. The Skins took 2nd place losing 69-54. Early in the 1st Quarter,
the Skins took the lead but Marengo's teamwork was ex¬ cellent. Except for a few players, the Skins had very little teamwork. In the 4th, Huntley Continued on Page 4

On January 20th, the Aurora Area Blood Bank in conjunction with the American Legion AuxiKary will hold a Blood Bank from 3:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Home. Chairman Neva Robertshaw thank everyone for their past support and asks that they come to this Blood Bank. This service insures all Hdntley residents of blood if they are hospitalized.

Editor Quin O'Brien welcomed Dr. Darvodeisky lo Kundey iasi| Monday. Dr. Asen Darvodeisky's first day of practice at the Medical Center was Tuesday, January 6th.
He was botn in Bulgaria in 1932 and studied medicine in SoTia. He practiced Internal Medicine until 1971 when he emigrated to the U.S. Dr. Darvodeisky took his U.S. intemship at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital and received his State of Illinois certification. In 1976 Dr. Darvodeisky opened a private practice as a General Practitioner.

His office hours will be Tuesday and Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 to 12 p.m. by calling 669-5421 for appointments.
Dr. Darvodeisky stated that he plans to add more ofRce hours in the future if it is necessary.
