Registration taking place for annual basketball camp
Final registration is now being held for the 20th Annual Bryan Adrian Basketball Camp. Boys and Girls ages 5-18 are eligible.
The location will be Indiana Wesleyan College in Marion, Indiana.
Included on the 1998 Summer Camp staff are: Damon Bailey (PRO), Jeffy Stackhouse (Pro), Steve Wojciechowski (Duke) and Pat Garrity (Notre Dame).

Earth Day to be celebrated on April 22
Earth Day is Wednesday, April 22. This day is set aside to reflect on our planet Mother Earth. It has been a recognized holiday for over twenty years.
In honor of Mother Earth and Earth Day, The Growing Scent, Inc. is having a Children's col¬ oring contest. A coloring contest packet can be picked up at The Growing Scent, Inc. from April 15-22. All entries will be judged on April 23 with the results announced at 4:30 p.m.
Children will be competing in four age categories: 2-3, 4-6, 7- 9 and 10-13. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each of the categories.
The Growing Scent, Inc. is located at 17009 Harmony Road near Route 20 outside of Huntley. Their hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The phone numbers for additional information are: (847) 669-0023 and (815) 923-7322.
4-H camp now taking registrations
Registration is now being accepted at 4-H Camp Shaw- Waw-Nas-See near Kankakee, for 5-day, 4-night youth ses¬ sions for boys and girls who are completing 2nd through 7th grades.
New this year is Teen Discovery, a special weekend for high school students. This exciting weekend is filled with challenging fun activities.
Taste of 4-H Camp is designed for youth who have completed 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade and have not attended camp Shaw before.
This weekend is planned to assure the camper's first experi¬ ence is a good one.
Campers will enjoy swimming in the huge outdoor pool, nature hikes through the woods, crafts, volleyball, softball, archery, rock climbing, feeding the farm animals, and harvesting the camp garden. They can splash in the creek, leam to navigate with a map and compass, and sleep under the stars. They won't want to miss it! Call 1-800-207- SHAW for your application.
7th Grade Girls' Basketball Team Wins Championship

The seventh grade girls' bas¬ ketball teams finished the sea¬ son with great success. The A Team won the 1998 Mid- Northern Conference champi¬ onship defeating Harvard 30- 16 in the conference tourna¬ ment title game. The team also placed first in the Red Division
of the Mid-Northern Conference, finishing the sea¬ son with an 11-2 record.
The B Team ended the season by defeating Locust 10-7 dur¬ ing overtime in a very exciting game. The team finished with a 3-6 record.
All of the ladies did an out¬ standing job throughout the season. They all worked really
hard and supported each other as a team.
B Team players are Sheri Ahrstrom, Jessica Boston, Erin Delahanty, Amanda Hewitt, Katie Kempisty, Sheila Kropke, Lorraine McGinley, Stephanie Neff, Becky Reynolds, Jen Schultz, Kristin Weaver and Jaycherie Webb.
