Free Bkmd pressure tests were given as well as demonstrations of various equipment including the new snorkel and Rescue vehicle. The snorkel is being paid for by funds donated by businesses in the Huntley area. It has an 85 ft. capability which will enable firemen to sboofwater down on burning buildings. A large group of people attended the Open House despite ingi^mait weather. F-S LOSE TO GENOA BY ONLY 2 PTS. CHURCH ROAST BEEF DINNER The folks at the Firat Cbogregational Church will be •erving tbeir annaal dinner on Sunday, October 26, 1980 at 11:30. 12:15 aad 1:00. The complete roast beef dinner, faadadfaig drink and homemade pie far dessert is iactaded for the ticket price of SS.OO for ,S3lOO far cMMfM 6-12. As h has been hi thc past, the children will be awarded prizes fbr the best costume in eadi age group. There will also be games, prises, donuts and cider. the Halloween party will be held at the Huntley Grade School gym on Friday, October 31 starting at 7:00 p.m. This year Trick or Treating win be held on Friday. Each boy and girl in the league receives a team shirt and hat and there are also equipment costs. There will be door prizes and a free lunch. The Legion is also giving away $100, $50 and two $25.00 prices and 20 turkeys. Mark November 8th on your calendar. HUNTLEY TIED WITH RICHMOND FOR 1st On Tues, ¦'Oct. 14 The Redskins ventured to Richmond to battle the Rockets. The Frosh-Soph game was first with Huntley winning 10-8, 12-10. Suzanne Emesti served 15 of 16, for 12 pts. hi the match. The Freshmen remain undefeated in their games. The Frosh-Soph team was ready to destroy Richmond, the only undefeated team in the conference. In the previous meeting of the two teams, Richmond had beaten Huntley for the team's only loss. And the Young Skins did destroy the Rockets hi game 1,15-01 It was an escellent team effort. Jill Neimeyer hij^ilig^ted die wfat with 11 for 11 serves aad 10 pts. (15-15, 12 pts. for the match) Andrea Manning was 13-13. 10 pts. for the match. Chris Grechis, who has been very consistent player at the net, again, turned ia a super performaace. Pam Jacobs set^ ved 5 for 6, 4 pts. lobia Oraberg wss 3 fior 4,3 pts. Chris Orediis and Kristy teah served 1-1. The President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Upon roll call the following members answered: Mrs. Bas¬ el, Mr. Spears, Mr. Reid, Mrs. Livingston and Mr. Zirk. Absent: Mr. Grismer and Mr. Pupich All present joined in the Pledge to the Flag. - MRs. Basel moved Mr. Zirk 2nd to spproved the minutes of the special ineeting on Septem-i tier IS as written. The motioa carried with S yeaa and 0 aays. Mr. Seid moved Mr. Spe«rs 2nd to approve tiie adaates of the September 25 regular ineeting with corrections. The motion carried 5 yeas and 0 najrs.
