OFFICER HERNANDEZ RECEIVES COMMENDATION
HUNTLEY DAY AT THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM
Memorial Day observances will begin in and about the Huntley area early on the morning ofthe 30th of May.
In the town of Union there is a 7:30 a.m. breakfast scheduled for those who will be marching in the parade. The parade will begin at 9 a.m. in Union.
Harmony will begin its observnces at 1 p.m.
Memorial Day ceremonies will be conducted on Tuesday, May 30th at Huntley under the sponsorship of Huntley American Legion Post #673, Post Commander Charles Conley announced.
All residents of Huntley are invited to attend and participate in this patriotic commemorative observance, Commander Conely reminded. The cermonies are scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM at the Huntley American Legion Home and at 11:00 AM at the Huntley cemetary. The program at the cemetary is as follows:
Invocation - Rev. Fred Harm, Trinity Lutheran Church, Huntley
Placing of wreath at base of Falg Pole - Boy Scouts
In Flanders Field - Hiedi Degner
Solo - William Leggee
Speaker - Winston Baumann Past 1 Ith District Commander

Last Sunday, May 7th, a large crowd attended Huntley Day at thei McHenry County Historical Museum. The front lawn of thej Museum held a display of old cars and trucks brought by Ben] Hansford, Phil Freund, and Elmer Britton. Mr. "Pat" Williams! was at the door to greet Huntley residents.
The ceremonies began with MC Henry Marlowe introducing dignitaries as young vigorous men.
. .Rev. Roger Mealiff was the first to speak. He said that he was glad to have had a chance to vis.it the Museum. He also stated that it was his hope that he could help the town grow. .. Henry Marlowe told the audience that because of St. Mary's First Communion, Father Day could not be thefe. Mr. Marlowe also read a congratulatory telegram from the Deicke's. . The next young man to speak was Mayor Don Enstrom. He welcomed everyone to the Museum and said that it would be interesting to visit the Museum in 25 years and see photos from '78. . .Chuck Ruth, Grafton Township Supervisor, was then introduced. Mr. Ruth stated that there were many items in the Museum that he hadn't recognized. He said that it was interesting to see how much

SPECIAL VILLAQE BOARD MEETINQ MINUTES
A special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held May 4th, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. for Jhe purpose of budgeting the Federal Revenue Sharing Funds This meeting is a requirement of the Federal Government for hearing by the public the proposed use of these funds.
Those present were: Preseidnt Enstrom, Trustees Ackman, Eisenmenger, Mercer and Stroupe. Absent, Lohneis and Frank.
President Enstrom announced that the proposed amount of monies for the coming year were approximately $22,871.00. He asked if anyone present had any requests. Mrs. Louise Kreutzer requested'$800.00 for the Senior CitiaSiens for the Walk-In Center.
Trustee Lohneis then entered the meeting.
The following is a proposed bread-down of said funds:
Public Safety. $12,800; Safety Equipment $5,500; Environ¬ mental $3,000; Civil Defense $400; Senior Citizens $800.
The next hearing will be held June 1st, 1978 at 7:30 p.m.
There being no further business to come before this hearing, a motion was made by Trustee Eisenmenger, second*- by Trustee Ackman, to adjoum, and the meeting so adjourned.

Eisenmenger, as well as Su{>i|^^ intendent of Public Wortti^ Swanson, Attorney Caldwell ^ and Village Engineer Schwegel. Absent: Trustee Frank.
The minutes of the April 6th, 1978 regular meeting and the April 25, 1978 annual meeting were brought before the Board for additions or corrections. There being none, they stood approved as presented. The financial reports were then reviewed. Trustee Stroupe made a motion that the Treasur¬ er's Report be approved subject to the Treasurer changing the reporting in the Water and Sewer Operating Fund to reflect both operating fund and reserve fund account which the auditing firm reflects in the management report each month. Motion seconded by Trustee Mercer and upon roll call, all trustees • present voted aye and the motion carried.
The bills for the month were presented and discussed. A motion was made by Trustee Eisenmenger, seconded by Trustee Ackman, to approve the
