The American Legion has issued a oordlal invitation to the residents of Huntley to attend and participate in Memorial Day services on Monday, May 30th. Commander Charles Oonley of Huntley Post #673 issued the invitation today for the traditional rites which will begin at 10:30 AM. Program at Huntley Cemetary: Invocation-Rev. Roiaer Meallff, Congregational Church, Huntley. Placing of VWeath: Boy Scouts, in Flanders Field: Dave Seaver. Speaker: Mayor Richard Vert)ic, Elgin.
Introduction of Mayor Donald Enstrom of Huntley and Mayor James Andrews of Union. Solo: Mary Earner
Gun Salute: Huntley and Union American Legion. National Anthlem: Huntley High School Band under the direction of HenryWoznell. Benedectlon: Rev. Roger Mealiff.

Last Saturday, May 21, the Huntley Police Department conducted bike registration at the Huntley Grade School parking lot. Approx¬ imately 100 people ranging from adults to toddlers registered their bicycles and tricycles witb the local autorities. In addition to the reg¬ istration, a rodeo was also conducted. Those who went through this test of skill received an extra set of wheel reflectors, in addition to the ones they were given for registering. Everyone who went throu¬ gh the obstacle course had a chance of winning prizes which were supplied by the local policemen and Huntley businessmen. The win¬ ners are Robin Kunde - 1st Huffy bicycle; David Veath - 2nd 6 volt generator; Brian Eisenmenger - 3rd, tum signals; Joseph Hill - 4th, mirror; Scott O'Brien - Sth. lock; Tom Conley - 6th, horn; Gerry Dedina - 7th, bike bag and Greg Raymond - Sth, tool set.
Beckie Harm the first place winner of the Legion Auxiliary Poppy Poster Contest was presented an award by Mrs. Hedy Leonard on the Day declared as Huntiey School Poppy Day.
Also Included In the picture is Patricia Griffin, Becky's Art Teacher. Debbie Lueth won the second prize while third prizie went to Barb Lamz.
