Present were Commissioners Jurs, Mercer, Gumett and Olson, Attomey Cowlin, LeRoy Wirsing and Betsey Warrington. Mr. Tures was absent. Mrs. Mercer made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 22 meeting, seconded by Mr. Gumett. All ayes and the motion carried. A motion to accept the Treasurer's report was made by Mrs. Mercer, seconded by Mr. Olson. All ayes and the motion carried. The bills for the month were presented. Mr. Gumett moved to pay all bills, seconded by Mr. Olson. The motion carried with three ayes and one nay (Mercer). The reservation requests, were discussed. A motion to approve all reservations except one (out of district) was made by Mr. Olson, seconded by Mr. Gumett. All ayes and the motion carried. Mr. Wirshig's report and board discussion included: fertilizer, calcium, cleaners, insecticides, tracctor repair, tilhig at or Timer's Park and summer help. Mrs. Warrington's report covered PDRMA meetings, town picnic, stage, easter egg hunt. Senior Citizens trip, trant application, fitness trail and community calendar. Mrs. Mercer moved fbr al^umment, seconded by Mr. Gumett. The meeting was adjoumed at 10:07 pm. These minutes are subject to approval by the board at their next regular meeting. Lois Parisek, Secretary Huntley Park District Senior Citizens News Huntley Senior Citizens met at the Congregational Social Hall for the monthly pot luck and meeting February 27. The pledge to the flag was given, roll call taken, minutes read and approved and treasurer's report given. Jack Brunschon introduced Republican party candidates and each spoke briefly on their qualifications and program. The candidates were George Hen- die, Matt Schalz and Wilbert Hecht for Sheriff, Jeff Johnson, Gus Ritter, Robert Stoxen and Charles Norris for county board seats, Deloris Doederlehi for 65th District State RepresenU- tive. Other guests were Mrs. Doederlein's Campaign Mana¬ ger, Jack Roeser and Al Zuerbammer, former coroner. Reservations for "Hello DoUy" at the Fireside ResUu- rant must be in by April 1st. The trip will be taken May 1st and the cost is $24 for lunch, thearer, and bus trip. Contact. Louise Kmetzer for reserva¬ tions. Seniors can sign up for discounts at the Opera House in Woodstock. Ashley's Restau¬ rant in Algonquin and Three Brothers in Woodstock also give discounts for Seniors. Two new members, Irwin and June Wilt joined the club. March committee members are Louise Kmetzer, Bernice Kalsow and Alice Rendl. The meeting was adjoumed and Bingo was played. All Seniors in the community are invited to join the club or go on the trip to the Fireside Theater. Auxiliary To Hold Dinner For Vets Donate your clean useable clothing to a needy vet. Bring it to the American Legion Building any evening from now till March 17th. A dinner and Bingo Games will be held hi their honor March 18th and about 40 Vets will take part. We thank you fbr caring! Veterans Rehabilitation Chairman, .Josephine Czonstka 669-3569 Oay and Anita Manley Take 1st Place Clay and Anita Manley of Huntley took 1st Place hi a Dart Toumament held last Sunday at T & V's Country Junction to Coral ^and won first prize money - $80. Qay steted, "It was awesome, we won the flrst game, moved to the winnen slot and then took on the winner of the rest - whintog all. We had three "ntoe dart outs" to four games. aay and Anita play on a mixed league on Wednesdays and Qay shoots fbr a men's league on Thursdays, both for Penny Road Pub. Congratulations you twol 11 Hydrants To Be Flushed The Huntley Water Depart¬ ment announced today the the ^dranta will be flushed next T«eaday and Wednesday, March 11th and 12th. The de¬ partment wishes to apologize for any toconvenience this may cause Huntley residents.
