ED WILLIAMS RETIRES
On January 3, 1984 Ed Williams will retire as rural mail carrier after serving Route 1 for 23 years. During his years of service, Ed has seen the rural route grow by an additional 10 miles and 100 additional boses to its present size of 83 miles long and 425 boies.
He has wom out 5 cars while driving over a half million miles without an accident. He holds the National Safety Councils 23 years safe drives certificate.
Ed has served some of his customers from the time that they were children until now when they are adults with families of their own and operating their own farms.
We ail wish Mr. Williams good health, happiness, and many good years of retirement.
Vacation Playday
Kids Bingo is being plann¬ ed for Christmas Vacation for all kids under 18 years old. However, there is a correction on the date previously published a week or so ago. It will be DECEMBER 29th. at the Huntley Legion Home, from approximately 1 to 3 p.m.
New prizes are being planned by the LioneM Club and refreshments will be served, so mark your calendar now for THURSDAY, DECEMBER 29th and plan on being there for a great time. A Sl.OO donation is asked, to help cover the expenses. Kids Bingo is spon- . sored by the Huntley Lioness Oub.
HandbeU   Choir to Perform at Brookfield Zoo
The Handbell Choirs of the Congregational Church will pteaeat a concert at Brookfield Zoo Dec. ISIh at 5:00 p.m. Pour Choirs wid' participate at the Holiday Magic Celebration be¬ ing held that week at Brookfield. The Handbell Choirs consist of one grade school, one high school and two adult groups making a total of 40 ringers. The choirs perform on a set of 61 En^ish Whitechapel handbells. Helen Marlowe and Larry and Betsey Warrington are directors ofthe choirs.
CENTURY 21 CHANGES HANDS
Hnntley Grade School Christmas Program
"Leon and the Christmas Starship" will be arriving at Huntley Grade School Monday Decem. 19th. at 7:30 p.m. Students from Kindergarten through sixth grade will be performing songs in hopes of explaining what Chrismtas "is" to Leon, a friendly alien.
The Huntley choirs and bands will be presenting a Holiday Concert Tuesday, Dec. 20th at 7:30 p.m. in the grade school gym. The junior high ensembles will be performing holiday favorites like Leroy Anderson's SLEIGH RIDE and WHTTE CHRISTMAS.
High school groups will bring you JINGLE BELLS, THROUGH THE AGES with our own elves and the Andrews Sisters and a CHRISTMAS POPS medley. The choir will close the concert with the HALLELUJAH CHORUS from Handel's Messiah.
We invite alumni and those who have sung it befbre to join us.
We hope you will come and enjoy these holiday programs.

Christmas Concert
The 1st. Congregational Church held itsAnnual Christ¬ mas Concert at the churoh this psst Sunday night. The BeU Choirs performed many Christ¬ mas Songs and Christmas Carols were sung, some by the entire congregation. Cari HiU sang O Holy Night and Lany and Betsey Warrington sang Pretty Paper.
The Choirs of course were wonderful but much of the credit goes to the directors; Choir Directors, Prudy Cole and Luann Lamz and BeH Masters; Helen Mariowe, aad Larry A Betsey Warrington. Acccmipian- Ist; Barbara Faga.
