We need Rummage, Rummage and more Rummage. The Huntley Harvestor's 4-H Qub is again going to the State Fair to compete in the Share-The-Fun Contest. Our act "The Harvestor Jamboree" won 1st place in County competition April 3rd. We will perform at State Fair the evening of Aug. 13. The club has alremdy sold a htudred cases of candy bars and we would like to thank all the kind people who bou^. MISS HUNTLEY CANDIDATES Pictured above are Miss Huntley Candidates, Sandra Rowe, April Fischer, Sue Schaller and Chris Foerster as they prepare for the contest on June 17th. The pageant will be held at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Home. There will be evening gown, and sportswear competition. The girls will have to answer a question put to them that night. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served. FLAG DAY IN HUNTLEY JUNE 14th Flag Day 1981 takes on added significance with the celebration of the SOth anniversary of the adoption of the "Star-Spangled Banner'' aa out national anthem in 1931. Fort McHenry is the site of the War of 1812 battle which inspired Francis Soott Key to write the words of our iiational anthem. Plage Houae, now a national historic land¬ mark, waa the home of Maiy PkkersgiU who made the original Star-Spangled Banner. Present at thia meetiog were President Enstrom, Truatees Berlin, Dhamer, Wicke, Mercer and Rudsinski, aa well as Attomey Szura, Village Engi¬ neer Schwegel and David Oldham, operator of tfae Sewer Treatment Plant. Absent waa Tmstee Brown. The May meeting miautes were brought before the Board for approval and after discus¬ sion, a motion was made by Trastee Mercer, seconded by Trastee Rudsfaiski, to approve as written with the following amendment made by former Trastee STroupe, who asked that tbe minutes reflect that "he and the Board should commend particularly the diligence, ef¬ fectiveness aad accuracy of Mary Lou Hardy, without whose efforts little, if any, of the improvements in financial fore-' casting and reportiag could{ have been made," Upon roll! call, all tmstees voted aye, the motion carried and the miautes as corrected approved. The Treasurer's report andi financial reports #ere reviewedi and found to be in ocder. Following the fights, the officers oif the Huntley Fire Department challenged the 1st place whining team to a fight. The officers used two hoses while the firemen onlv one. The officers won. Larry Meier, Installation Supervisor and Greg Allen, General Manager of United Cable TV after the completion of the first Huntley Installation. The 1st installation was made at the Farmside on Wednesday, June 10. Cable rv is now operational in Huntley. The company is offering a tree installation for those who subscribe for the service on one TV set within the next 30 days. The basis package costs less than SIO per month with tive additional services offered for movie and adult programming at an additional charge.
