LEGION & AUXILIARY BIRTHDAY DINNER
A livtag portrayal of the Last Supper will be presented at the Maundy Thursday service during the conclusion of the jotat lenten services of the First Congregational Church of Hunt¬ ley and Congregational Churdi of Algonquin. The service will also taclude the sacrament of Holy Communion, the Act of Tenebrae and spedal music.
The service will begta at 7:30 p.m. at the Algonquin church.
8th GRADERS CHALLENGE FACULTY THIS FRIDAY
Numerous members of the Huntley Junior High and Elementary teaditag staff (better known as the "Dirty Dozen") are practidng almost daUy for the Student-Faculty Basketball game tfais Friday nigfat.
the game wUI be held ta the grade school gym at 7:00 p.m. and admission is $1.00 for adults and SOc for tfae kiddies. Pre-sdioolers and senior dti¬ zens are free. Concessions wUl be availalbe.

To rid tfae poor students of tfaese anxieties the faculty team wUI award the eigfatfa gradera 3 potats per basket and 2 potats per free tfarow. ta retum the kids promise not to fast break (don't they?)

The beef dtaner was served by tfae Celas of tfae 1st Congregational Cfaurdi.
FoUowtag'tfae dtaner, life members, Don Enstrom and Bob Schultz, cut the birtfaday cake. Harty Weltzien was not present.
Commander Emricson tfaanked tfae Farmside for tfae Birtfaday ads.

PRIESTHOOD
On Sunday, Mardi 27, 1983, Reverend Leo H. Ambre wUl celebrate the 40th Anniversary of His Ordtaation to tfae Holy Priesthood with a Concelebrsted Mass of Thanksgivtag at St. Mary's Churcfa ta Huntley at 12 noon. The Reverend Leo H. Ambre, presently assigned as Pastor of Satat Mary Cfaurcfa, Huntley, Dlinois was bom January 5,1917 ta Aurora, Dlinois. He attended St. Josepfa Grade School, Aurora and took preparatory stadiea for the priesthood at St. Frands Preparatory Semtaaty, MUwaukee, Wis. PfaUosophical and Theological studies were begun at St. Mary Semtaary, Bahimore, Md. ta September of 1937. On Mardi 27, 1943, fae received tfae sacrament of Holy Orders ta St. James Pro-catfaedral, Rockford fiom biahop Jofan J. Boylan.
Stace tfaat Hme fae has served as associate at St. Mary Churcfa. Sterltag fiom 1943 untU 1954. Havtag aerved as Soperintendent d St. Vtacent Home for ChUdren and St. Joaepfa Home of tfae aged from 1954 untU 1962, fae was appointed Pa^or of St. Margaret Mary, Algonquta, for two years. On Augnat 8, 1964 he became pastor of St. Thomas Churdi, Crystal Lake. During his tenure there fae completed tfae boildtag ofa new diurcfa. On February IS, 1980 he was tastaUed as Pastor of St. mary Churdi, Hnntley aad on AprU 2, 1982 fae was appointed Vicar for Ftaance A Admtaisttatlon of the Diocese of Rockford.
