The visual acuity acreenhig ia done on Thmua machines manned by Lions Qub volun¬ teers. The glaucoma acreenlng is done by a liceaaed medical doctor, an (^rfithalmologiat ( edlcal eye specialist) furnish¬ ed by the Univershy of UUnoia' Abraham Lhicoln School of Medicine. Henty Matlowe of Mariowe Feed and Hatchery of Hundey was honored by approximatdy shi hjinilied of hia frienda and ensttmcM tast Taeaday Oct. 18th. at the SOih anniversary celebration at the McHenry County Fairgrounda. The high¬ light of the day, waa a live presentatioo of Orion Samuel¬ son's Noon Farm Program aired over WGN Radio. The program hiduded live muaic and Singer Cathy Johnaon. Samuelaon gave a short history, praising Mr. Marlowe for hia courage and success in biuineaa.
He said, "Mr. Mariowe had a great deal of courage fbr starting a bualness In a depression year, 1933. He aaked. Mr. Mariowe how he atarted die' bushiesa this year, Mr. Mariowe replied tbat he waa a acbod teacher at the Hnntley School and hU salary in 1931 waa S2200 and hi 1932 h waa S2100.
