Two weeks ago the kinder¬ garten classes from Huntley Elementary School began a pretend journey to Hawaii. With the guidance of their teachers, Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. Kavanagh, Miss Korczyk, Mrs. McCormick and Miss Reuter, each class planned their trip. They fig¬ ured out what to pack for the trip by learning what the weather is like in Hawaii in January. The entire class had tickets and took off on their plane trip across the United States and Pacific Ocean to beautiful Hawaii. Throughout the two weeks the classes have been learning about many aspects of Hawaiian culture, food, land¬ scape and a variety of other related information. Speakers have come to the classes to talk to the students about some of their studies.
