Hnntley Lioness Activities
Pictured are some people who Roulette Wheel recently at took their chances at the LasVegasNi^.
1. The Lioness Joined the Huntley Community in con¬ tributing toward the legal retainer to investigate the feasibility of a Landfill to be located one mile North of the Huntley Village limits. On their own, many members worked diligently to obtain records, documents and statistics to provide the lawyers with irrefutable facts, thus reducing the over-all attomey fees. 2. Hearing Aid Batteries are sold at cost to local dtizens. Purchased in bulk by the Lioness, they are available at the Huntley Pharmacy or at Monday Night Bingo in the Legion Hall. Close supervision is maintained to assure that
fresh supplies are available of only those batteries required. Any size batteries no longer used locally are donated to the McHenry County Home. This is an on-going project well received by hearing aid users.
3. Our Artist Lioness member designed the Huntley Lioness Pin, a proud and welcome asset to our club. These attractive pins can be traded with or purchased from any Lioness Member at meetings or conventions.
4. Lioness had their annual Kids' Playday for fifty five young Huntley children during the Easter school vacation.
