PROCLAMATION
Whereas the Illinois Lions Clubs are seeking contributions for hu¬ manitarian services for more than 50,000 per¬ sons in our State who are visually and hear¬ ing impaired, and
Whereas the Huntley Lions will participate in order to bring greater freedom and usefulness to the lives of those handicapped:
Therefore:
I now hereby declare Saturday, October 11, 1986 as Lions Club Candy Day in the Vil¬ lage of Huntley and urge everyone to con¬ sider giving to this worthy cause.

Village Board
The October 2, 1986 Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Huntley was held in the Board Room of the Village Hall and brought to order by the President at 8:00P.M.
Present were President Dhamer Trustees Wicke, Ahrens, Russ and Berlin with Trustee Brown absent. Also attending were Police Chief Rossi, Superintendent of Public Works Shear, Attorney Kukla and Village Engineer Schwegel.
The first order of business was the presentation of the minutes of the September 4, 1986 meeting. There being no additions or corrections, they stood approved as presented.
The financial reports were the next order of business. A new format of the Monthly Summary was presented to the Board which shows the budget figures and expended amounts against them. Trustee wicke made a motion to accept the Treasurer's Report with a further review by next meeting on some unanswered questions regarding transfers, seconded by Trustee Kuss. Upon roll call, 11 trustees voted aye and the motion was carried.
The current bills were examined at length and thereafter a motion was made by Trustee Wicke, seconded by Trustee Berlin, to approve the payment of same and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the Clerk was instructed to make

School Board
The regular meeting of the Board of Edu¬ cation of School Dis¬ trict #158, Huntley Consolidated Schools, Huntley, Illinois was held in the High School building on September 25, 1986 at 7:30p.m.
The meeting was called to order by the Secretary at 7:44p.m. Upon roll call the fol¬ lowing members answered present: Mrs. McDonald, Mrs. Schadt, Mr. Greve, Mr. Miller and Mr. Bau¬ man. Absent: Mr. Hea¬ vey, and Mr. Freeberg. All present joined in the pledge to the flag.
1. Mrs. McDonald moved, Mr. Greve 2nd to appoint Mrs. Schadt as President Pro Tem.
5 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
2. Mr. Miller moved, Mrs. McDonald 2nd to
approve the minutes of the Sept. 11 regular meeting as written. 5 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
3. Mr. Greve moved, Mrs. McDonald 2nd to approve payment of the monthly agenda of bills and imprest. Education - $27,100.50; OBM - $7,971.17-Transpor¬ tation - $1,238.53. Yeas: Greve, McDonald, Miller, Bauman. Nays: None. Pass: Schadt.

4. Mrs. Schadt moved, Mr. Bauman 2nd to ap¬ prove the resolution to repay the following two outstanding Interfund Loans: From Education to Working Cash - $540,000; From OBM to Working Cash - $20,000. Yeas: Schadt, Bauman, Greve, Freeberg, Mil¬ ler, McDonald. Nays: None.
is attached hereto. In connection with this, the President presented a bill from Trustee Ahrens for two platform scales for the well house in the amount of $97.50. Trustee Wicke made a motion to pay this invoice, seconded
by Trustee Berlin. Roll noted the following: Russ, aye; Wicke, aye; Ahrens, pass; Berlin, aye and motion carried.
President Dhamer announced that Mr. Herb Eggers was unable to attend the meeting in re the Huntley Cemeteries. The Clerk gave the Board a brief report regarding his request in whicn he asked that the entity of the Village be called Huntley Cemeteries as was set out in 1974. Attorney Kukla asked the Clerk for the file which action, if any, would be taken after the Executive Session.
The President then called on the Ervin's and their Attorney, Mr. Hardy, to present their revised Annexation Ordinance, noting the revisions were acceptable to the Village Attorney and to the Ervins. Attorney Kukla went over each document with the Board for study. Thereafter, the following actions were taken:
1) An Ordinance Authorizing the Execution of an" Annexation Agreement known as 86-10-1.      ~ Motion to adopt same made by Trustee Wicke, after a question, motion was seconded by Trustee Ahrens, and roll noted: Ahrens, aye; Berlin, aye; Russ, aye; Wicke, aye, and motion carried Continued on p. 2

5. Mr. Greve moved, Mrs. McDonald 2nd to approve the resolution
to make Interfund Loans as follows: From Work¬ ing Cash to Education $537,500-From Working Cash to 6bM - $45,500. Yeas: Greve, McDonald, Schadt, Freeberg, Mil¬ ler, Bauman. Nays: None 6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
6. Mrs. Schadt moved, Mr. Greve 2nd to ap¬ prove the ISBE: Certified Employees Evaluation Plan.
6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.
7. Mr. Freeberg moved Mr. Bauman 2naf to ap¬ prove appointment of voting delegate, Jim Heavey, and alternate Jan Schadt to lASB State Convention.
6 yeas - 0 nays. Motion carried.

Park District
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order on Wednesday, September 25, 1986 at 8 p.m. by President Tures. Present were Commissioners Tures, Jurs, Gurnettj Olson and Mercer, Attorney Cowlin, Mrs. Warrington and Joanne Springman. A motion to approve the minutes of the August 27 meeting was made by Mrs. Mercer, seconded by Mr. Jurs. All ayes and the motion carried.
Mr. Gurnett moved to accept the Treasurer's report with a second by Mr. Olson. All ayes and the motion carried.
The bills for the month   were presented. Mr. Jurs moved to pay all bills, seconded by Mr. Gurnett. All ayes and the motion carried.
Pre-School
Huntley Park District Pre-School Open House October 20 The Huntley Park District's Pre-School has "put on a new face" and we would like members of the community to see it! We will be having an Open House on Monday, Oct. 20 from 6:30-8:00p.m. at the school at 1st Congregational Church (enter from Church St.) Please feel free to drop in during those times and have a look around, talk to our teachers & bring your children. The maintenance dis¬ cussion included; re¬ surfacing tennis courts, dirt and seed around lake, tree re¬ moval, flag pole dedi¬ cation at 01  Timer's Parle and lights for or Timers Park (hope¬ fully next year), and fitness trail.
Mr. Gurnett made a motion to approve the new wage scnedule pre¬ sented, seconded by Mr. Tures. All ayes and the motion earned.
Mr. Jurs gave infor¬ mation on an air com¬ pressor. Then he made a motion to purchase one, seconded by Mr. Gur¬ nett. All ayes and the motion carried.
Betsy Warrington led the recreation discus¬ sion concerning the Volunteers' Picnic^ soccer programs, fit¬ ness programs and bud¬ get and winter pro¬ grams^ Continued on p. 8
will be a slide presentation of daily activities that the children participate in. The directory of the pre-school is Connie Lombard & the assistant director is Mary Lynn Peterson. Both have degrees in child development & elementary education from Brignam Young University. Candy Woodcock is their assistant. All will be on hand to show you around and answer any questions that you might have about the program. Refreshments will be served. We hope to see you there!
