Pictured above are members of the Huntley High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Football Team. Last week the Varsity team I slaughtered the Herbon team 19-0. This week for Homecoming they will play Moosehart. The Jr. Varsity plays at 12 tMon and the Varisty I squad leads off at 1p.m.

HOMECOMING KING & QUEEN CANDIDATES

Last Friday Huntley High school student chose their Homecoming King & Queen for 1978. The ] results will not be announced till the Homecoming Dance on Saturday nite.
Homecoming King candidates are Darrell Dobrolinsky, Tom Grechis, Brian Choin, Bob Eckman, Jim McMahon and Rob Tures.
Homecoming Queen candidates are Pat Hansen, Terri Ream, Debbie Lovins, Kim Eckman and Ann Fitzgerald.
This year's Homecoming Dance will feature the popular Disco dancing.
FIRE DEPT. OPEN HOUSE OCT. 10th
On Tuesday. October 10th the Huntley Fire Department will hold an Open House m conjunction with Fin; Prevention Week. At the Open House will be demonstrations, a movie and questions answered conceming fire snd rescue equipment snd its use.

HOMECOMING PARADE ROUTE
The Homecoming Parade will begin at the High School at 10a.m. and proceed north on Lincoln Street. It will then go east on Main Street and take a southem route on Church Street. The parade will then tum west onto Mill and continue back to the school.
The Junior Varsity Football team will begin the action against Moosehart at 12 noon with the Varsity game at 1 p.m.
The Homecoming Dance is scheduled from 8-10 p.m. on Saturday night with a theme of disco dancing.
FFA SLAVE SALE
The Huntley FFA will be holding their annual FFA Slave Sale on Tuesday, October 10 in the Grade School Gym. Beginning at 8:00 P.M. Mr. Godke will be auctioning off every Huntley FFA member, two hog feeders, and a variety of other Items donated by Huntley businesses.
The following Saturday, the FFA members will work for the buyer from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. oc *s arranged by the buyer.
After the sale there will be coffee, milk, and cake, followed by a bake sale in the school cafeteria.
Eveiyone is invited to attend whether they need a slave or not.

Following a second mediation session between the Huntley Education Association and the Board of Education, with a representative of the Federal Mediation Jc Conciliation Ser¬ vice, Huntley teachers are still without a contract.
The faculty and board are approximately S9000 apart in salary settlement for this year. A possible two-year salary, agreement is currently under dlscusston, although the board is unwilling to respond affirma¬ tively to an HEA request for Bosrid-pald-retirement, which - would cost the district no additional money, but would result in a small tax savings fof ' Continued on Back Page
