Village ofHuntley Board Minutes
The September 1, 1983 Regular Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was heod in the Village Hall Board Room and called to order by President Enstrom at 8:00 P.M.
Present at the meeting were: _ President Enstrom. Trustees Ahrens, Wicke, Mer¬ cer, Brown and Dhamer with Trustee Berlin absent. Also attending were Attomey Szura Village Engineer Schwegel, members of the Public Works Department, Police Chief Ros¬
si, as well as Planning Commission Chairman Zirk and members of his commiss¬ ion.
The minutes of the August 4, 1983 meeting were present¬ ed and there being no additions nor corrections, they stood approved as presented.
The bills for the current month expenses were examin¬ ed at length by the trustees and a motion was made by Trustee Mercer, seoonded by Trustee Wicke, to grant the payment     of    all     bills     as

presented except that the J.T. Spradlin invoice show a deduction of $358.40 until the PubUc Works Committee gives approval. Upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried. Listing of expenditures are attached hereto.
The Treasurer's report and financial reports were submit¬ ted for approval by the Board. A motion was made by Trustee Mercer to approve the July, 1983 Treasurer's report as it was submitted, seconded
Tony Trizna, State & Regional Govemor of the Legislative Forum, Carrie Redebaugh. Director of the Lt. Govemor's Senior Action Council and John Shaulis Region 13 Govemor all attended the Legislative Forum at Joliet last Tuesday. Also attending was Louise Kreutzer. Committee Chairman from Huntley.
Proposed Tax Levy Hearing
The Public Hearing as set out above was brought to order at 7:30 P.M. on September 1. 1983 for the puiyose of hearing any objections to the proposed tax lew for 1983-1984. which amount was $498,13000.
Present were President En¬ strom. Trustees Ahrens. Wic¬ ke. Brown. Mercer and Dhamer. with Trustee Berlin being absent. Also in attend¬ ance was Attorney Szura.
The President asked if any objectors were present; the meeting being held open for one-half hour for this purpose. There being no objectors. Trustee Mercer made a motion at 7:55 P.M.. second¬ ed by Trustee Wicke. to bring the public hearing to a close and. upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the hearing was closed.

Huntley Park District Report
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8 P.M. on Wednesday, August 24. 1983. Present were: Commissioners Tures. Mercer, Gumett and Jurs. Weltzien was absent. Also attending were Attomey Cowlin and LeRoy Wirsing.
The minutes of the July 27 meeting were read. A motion to approve the minutes was made by Mr. Jurs, seconded by Mr. Gumett. All Commiss¬ ioners voted aye and the motion carried.

Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Huntley, 111. will dedicate their new "Bell Tower" in a service beginning at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday. Sept.
II. 1983.
Norman Brettschneider was the Congregational Coordinator and Vemon Greve of Algonquin,
III. was the Contractor of the project.
The bell which is hung in the tower, is the same bell which hung in the original church steeple. When the old church was removed, the bell was taken down and stored. The bell, as inscribed, was cast in thc year 1878 by the Jones & Company. Troy Bell Foundry, Troy, New York; and weighs 1.545 pounds.
A Bell Tower Fund was established in 1974; and now, the Congregation celebrates the completion of this addition.
Special Music for the service will be provided by Organist, Lucille Kahl Periey, the Hand Bell Chior from the Congrega¬ tional Church of Huntley, and the Trinity Lutheran Aduh Chior accompanied by Mrs. Beverly Sweeney.
Following the service, a Sandwich Buffet will be held in the education wing.
