Pentaplex Fined
Historical Society Moves Sclioolhouse
Pentaplex Corporation, a local manufacturer of printed circuit boards, was assessed per violation penalties of $400, plus court costs in a hearing Tuesday, March 29.
Citing repeated and continuing deficiencies in Pentaplex' waste-water treatment program. Village Attorney Mike Kukla asked that the firm be assessed the maximum sentence allowed by law. In a brief recap, Kukla outlined the 2 year history of problems between the Village of Huntley and Pentaplex concerning the company's water treatment program. On December 10, of 1987, the trustees of Huntley, concerned about past and potential damage to village waste water treatment facilities, ordered the suspension of sewer service to the Pentplex plant after continued failure to comply with the Sewer Use Ordinance of the Village of Huntley. Black & Biue Bears Coming To Huntley
Exchanging their football helmets and spiked shoes for gym shorts, the Chicago Bears have left their Soldier Field den and are stepping out on the hardwood of the Huntley high school gymnasium.
These gridders turned cagers are happy to bring their basketball act to Huntley on April 9th.
You can't afford to pass up the second annual Bear VS. Faculty Basketball Game on April Sth, Saturday at 7:30 P.M. in Delaney Gym for great family entertainment. Tickets are $5.00 each. Call 669-5171
Pressure and competition is replaced by easy going fun and games, and the fan is rewarded with the opportunity to meet and talk with Ditka's prize pupils by taking advantage of the photo and autograph booths.
The Huntley Farmside office will be closed on Friday, April 1.
Wednesday, March 23rd was a beautiful day, in itself. But, if you happened to be in the Marengo-Union area, you may have witnessed an unusual sight.

Meeting
March 23. 1988
The regular meeting of the Huntley Park District was called to order at 8 P.M. on March 23, 1988 by President Mercer. Present were Commissioners Mercer, Knott, Olson, Gurnett and Borchart. Also in attendance were John Tures, Attorney Kukla, LeRoy Wirsing, Joanne Springman, Betsey Warrington and John Mercer.
A motion to approve the minutes of the February 24th meeting was made by Mr. Olson, seconded by Mr. Gurnett. All Commissioners voted aye and the motion carried.
Mr. Gurnett moved to accept the Treasurer's report, seconded by Mr. Knott. All ayes and the motion carried.
After studying the bills
for the month, Mr. Gurnett
moved to pay all bills,
seconded by Mr. Borchart. All
voted aye and the motion

room schoolhouse moved from Riley Rd. in Marengo to its present, and final resting sight on Main Street in Union, directly next to the museum.
This schoolhouse was built in 1895, and was still used by school students at the
Marengo sight through 1959.
This exceptional piece of moving was performed by Muehlfelt ic Sons, Inc. of Wheaton, Illinois, house mo^'ing specialists.

Easter
Activities
In Deieke Park
Saturday, April 2, 3-6 year olds are invited to attend a party at the office building in Deieke Park from 9:00-10:00 a.m. (two year olds may attend with a parent). Participants will stencil egg^, make bunnies and other Easter crafts and enjoy games, stories and refreshments! Connie Lombard instructs. The fee is $3.00. Please call the park to register by March 31.
Saturday, April 2 the Easter Bunny will be making its annual appearance in Deieke Park! Two times are offered, 11:00 for pre-schoolers and 1:00 for grades kindergarden through 4th. The various age groups will hunt in different areas of the park for their eggs! There's a priee in every egg and special prizes for each age divisionl There is no fee and you don't have to register to attend! "Egg hiders" are welcome, call the park, 669-3180, for more information.
Minutes Of Huntley Planning Commission
Minutes of the Village Board
The regular monthly meeting of the Huntley Planning Commission was called to order March 11, 1988 at 7:35 p.m. by Chariman Wilmer Rohlwing. Jack Daum, Ron Hahn, Robert Schachtner and Paul Mercer. Also present was Mayor Dhamer and Mr. Spradlin.
The minutes of the February 8, 1988, meeting were read. Mr. Hansmann moved to accept the minutes as read. Mr. Schachtner seconded. Motion carried.
The agenda was read. The first order of business was presented by Mr. Ken Bakley who was presenting their 14th Addition to Huntley. Mr. Bakley has paid the hearing fees. This is a Preliminary Plat which shows an extension of Kiley Street to Ruth Road. Mr. Bakley realizes they cannot sell any lots until treatment plant is expanded, Continued on page 5
The meeting of March 10, 1988 was held in the Board Room of the Village Hall and was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the President.
Present at roll call were: President Dhamer, Trustees Wicke, Berlin, Borowicz, Brown and Greve with Trustee Basel absent. Also attending were Attorney Cowlin for Attorney Kukla, Village Engineer Schwegel, Police Chief Rossi, Building Inspector Spradlin and Superintendent of Public Works, Steve Nimbar.
The first order of business was the presentation of the February 11th, 1988 minutes. After review, there being no additions nor corrections, they stood approved as presented.
The financial reports were next to be presented. After examination of same, a motion was made by Trustee Wicke to approve the Treasurer's
report, seconded ^y Trustee Brown, and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and the motion carried.
Current expenses are examined by the trustees and thereafter a motion was made by Trustee Greve, seconded by Trustee Berlin, to approve payment of all bills presented. Upon roll call, all trustees voted aye, the motion carried, and a listing of same is attached hereto. The Baxter and Woodman invoices submitted by the President were to be deferred until the April meeting.
President Dhamer advised that Trustee Basel had submitted his resignation and thereafter read same to the Board. His resignation was effective March 1, 1988. Trustee Wicke made a motion to accept his resignation with regret. The President Continued on page 12
