The regular monthly meeting of the Huntley Planning Com¬ mission was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by Chairman Wilmer Rohlwing. Those mem¬ bers of the board present were Tom Jurs, Noel Hansmann, Paul Mercer, Jack Daum, Robert Schachtner and Ron Hahn. Also present were Mayor Dhamer and Building Inspector John Spradlin.
The minutes of the last meeting of March 9, 1987, were reid. Mr. Hansmann moved to accept the minutes as read. Mr. Jurs seconded. Motion carried. ¦•
The agenda was read. Mr. Ed McQuire of Kishwaukee Industrial Park was the first ¦ order of business. All board members have copy of plans., They would like to resubdi- vide 7.8 acres into 9 separ¬ ate lots. One lot is to be¬ come a retention pond for the other 8 lots. The engineering plans have been submitted to Baxter and Woodman and are pending approval. (Mr. McQuire said there were 10 complete copies of plans for Planning Commission, but only five were made available.) Mr. McQuire said they have had a lot of call for 5,000 to 10,000 foot buildings and these pieces of property would be suitable for that. These were all originally Lot #4. They will do berming. There is a sewer line back in there. Kishwaukee Center will- do maintenance of detention area. Since there is such a load on present sewer and water Baxter <fc Woodman will advise. These buildings will be mainly light industry so would use office toilets and domestic use. Kishwaukee hopes that many of these buildings will be lease buildings, so they plan to exist for a long time.
Mr. Hansmann moved that the Huntley Planning Commission recommend approval of the plans presented by Kishwaukee Industrial Park for resubdi¬ vision of Lot #4, consisting of 7.8 acres into 9 separate lots. Also, Kishwaukee is to maintain the detention area of Lot 4. This is subject to Baxter ic Woodman's approval. Mr. Daum seconded. Upon roll

We greatly appreci¬ ate your donations large or small. Poppy poster cash awards w.ill be given to our school children for their efforts to bring to your attention the need for this program. Guest night is May 14th. Pot luck,girl8,so bring a dish to pass. Pork roast, potatoes and gravy is the main course, 6:30 cocktails. Lets have a good showing and be proud of what we are doing.
I had the honor of being guest at the past Presidents dinner held at our Post home. We are proud of our Post and get a lot of comments on how everyone enjoys coming to Huntley because of the good food (thanks to our kitchen crew) and a nice home. I enjoyed the evening and the food. We were entertained by the First Congregational Church Choir, who gave a super performance on a hit taken from their Hobo Show, and if you missed seeing that, well, don't miss it again. It's a once a year occasion. They were super. The girls that worked together to give us that evening did a good job. Let's all get into that "We could do that" attitude this year and have some fun doing it. Jo Czonstka, President
