VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL AT TRINITY
On Monday, June 20, 1983, Trinity Lutheran Churdi will open its doors to chUdren of the community with the VBS theme "The Precious Word and Me." "Wc want the children to have fon whh crafts and projects, and games and songs," stated Rev. Charles Kittel, pastor of Trinity. "Most of all, we want to share the Good News of God's love with our diurch and neighbor¬ hood children."
In addition to many of the regular activities at VBS, this year will feature the showing of three special diildren's films and a closing day "Open Hous" featuring Mr. Dave Meyer, who will take one and all on a journey into the worid of illusion with a message of reality for today.

Last Thursday, the winners of the Poppy Boater Contest attended the Huntley AuxUiary Meeting with their parents. Contestants were divided into three categories, 6th Sc 7th Grade; 8th Sc 9th Gradea Sc 10th Sc llth Grades. Pifty-iiDur young people entered the contest. Chairman Dorothy Schaller introduced the winners:

Th? Walter League of Trinity Lutheran Church held a Car Wash last Saturday in the Church parking lot. The young people thoroughly enjoyed their work combining it with water fightt. It was hard to tell if the cars were wetter than the youngsters.

PARKDISTRICT TENNIS LESSONS
Huntley Park District Is sponsoring 2 sessions of tetmis lessons on June 20 Sc June 27, Mondays. During the lessons, the partidpants wUl receive 45 minutes of instruction, then 45 minutes of playing time. The times for 8-13 year olda Is 10:00 -11:30 a.m. and for aduhs, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. The fee for the dass is S3.00/S3.75 for.tion-residentb of Huntley Park District. Hie Huntley Pony League is off to their best statt. On May 27ih, Himtley faced KanevUle and won 16-4. Againat Kane¬ viUe, Huntley pounded out 19 hhs, and diiiteen stolen bases to wfai tiie flrst game. The winning pitcher waa Ride Qavey.
For Humley's seoond game on May 31st, Huntley over- whehnad W«soo whh a 15-1 win. Winnbg phcher wss David Erath, who allowed only one hit.
On June 3rd, Huntiey played h« tou^est contest agabist Elbum Oraage, which Huntley won 5-0. On.a two hkter whidi was phdied by Dan Eratb. On June 7tii Huntley faivaded Maple Paric and came away with a win of 16-S. The winning phcher was David Erath. Last Saturday on June 4th Huntley hosted Elbum Whhe and won by a margin of 13-2, bdiindtfae pitching of Dan Erath. q On Tuesday nig^t. June 14tii, Huntley wttl travel to Buriington, laat years diampa, and wUI come bone with a win. If the people of Hnntley like exdting baseball, thia is the team to follow.
