In another snow storm related story, the Huntley Fire Department answered a call at 28 Barko Parkway in the Landings subdivison south of Huntley off Route 47. A 2 year old boy had tanken an
unknown quantity of Nuprin
(aspirin substitute).
In order to reach the residence, the new Grass Fire Truck, with Plow attached, lead the way for the ambulance. Finding Powers Road blocked at 47 by the heavy drifts, the trucks were
forced to follow a circuitous route down 47, to Freeman Road.
The boy was alert and conscious. The plows
followed the Ambulance to the Tollway. which had been
cleared, and it proceeded to Sherman Hospital in Elgin
