A delicious roast beef dinner with all the trimmings was served by the ladies of the 1st Congregational Church. Following the meal the Auxiliary members presented y '.u pins. President Marilyn Eckman also presented the Legionaires with a check to replace the old sliding doors. President Don Hardy passed out the Service Pins with Don Enstrom assisting. Bob Schultz, llth District Commander, was the guest speaker. Bob reviewed the programs ofthe Legion and its importance. The evening concluded with the Huntley Senior Citizen's Kitchen Band performing under the direction of Bob Eckman. A dance was held to round out the evenings festivities. Featured on the program «d]l be the High School and Junior High bands and Choruses. Selections will range from "Theme from Superman" to Godspell to Music Man. The grand finale will be "Patriotic Fantasy" performed by the combined bands and choruses. Admission will be 25c per person or $1.00 per family to defray the cost of refreshments. CPR CLASSES The American Legion Auzil¬ iary is sponsoring a CPR class. The class wiU be held at the Fire House on March 20th at 6:30 p.m. Dave Veath and Bryan Spencer will conduct the dass. This will be a 4 hr. class completed. This a a very important daas for everyone in Huntley to attend so that they will know what to do ia an emergency. Mmutes can make a difference. The dass is open to the public. Please sign up by calling Neva Robertshaw at 669-3683. __ JSS¥T ffmm VIILLAGE BOARD MEETING h Village Board of Trustees held their regular meeting on March 6. 1980 in the Board Room of the Village Hall and was brought to order at 8:00 p.m. by President Enstrom. Those attending were Presi¬ dent Enstrom, Trustees Wicke, Rudsinski, Stroupe, Dhamer, Mercer and Lamb, as well as Attorney Caldwell (William), Village Engineer Donald Sch¬ wegel and members of the Public Works Department. The first order of business was the presentation of the minutes of the previous meeting February 7, 1980. There being no additions nor corrections they stood approved as present¬ ed. The Treasurer's Report and related financial reports were next to come before the Trustees. Trustee Stroupe re¬ commended that the Treasur¬ er's Report be approved as written with the suggestion that if possible, end of month amounts be shown in savings account and in checking account as separate figures in order to darlfy. Said motim was second¬ ed by Trustee Lamb and upon roll call, all trustees voted aye and motion carried. Trustee Stroupe asked that the Gerk set out in the minutes the individual check listing for the payroll fund for the Board's review. President Enstrom brought up the Melahn, Huntley High¬ lands, matter. Mr. Melahn was presented by Mr. Joe Condon, attomey at law. Trustee Rudsin¬ ski reported on a meeting held with the Sewer and Water Committee, Mr. Schwegel and Mr. Melahn, and had reached an agreement on February 21, 1980 regarding Mr. Melahn's subdivision on Martin Drive. The agreement read as follows: (1) curb and gutter Martin Drive one side; (2) complete Frederic Way completely; (3) escrow account to cover remainder of subdivision; (4) agrees to re¬ pair sewer lines by railroad (Dean and Union Special Mach¬ ine) approximately $1000.OOj each, also Kunde line, or set M escrow account to cover the above; (5) pay all fees and bills and fines due village; (6) no occupancy permit issued until above are complete to village agreement; (7) no tidditional permhs issued until agreements are met with village. Mr. Condon advised that a letter of credit had been written to cover the above and tbe village advised that they ezpected Frederic Way to be completed by Scptemberi, 1960 or if it was not done by the developer, the village would do it with the letter of credit. After much discussion, a motion was made by Trustee Rudsinski that the Board approve the agreement reached February 21, 1960 as above set out, with the stipulat¬ ed date of September 1.1960 as the completion date for Frederic Way and also all necessary storm water improvements for the balance of the subdivision
