The Caravan will be visiting thc llth District. which encompasses the counties of DuPage, Kane. McHenry and Will, on Sunday. October 2. IW3 at Downers Grove Post Home. Newly elected District President. Mary Gorny of Glen Ellyn will preside. Tbe Caravan will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. Luncheon w ill be served at iKXjn with the Fall Convention starting at 1:30 p.m.
The llth District has a membership of over 4800 members and some 100 delegates will be in attendance to leam of Ihe programs of the Auxiliary as outlined by the State Program Chairmen.

Huntley Couple Die in Auto Accident
Wendell and Diane Calhoon of 1071.? Woodstock St. Huntley, were killed in a head on collision last Sat. Sept. 24. when their car collided with a van driven by Samuel Finley of Elgin.
The Calhoon s according to 'sheriffs reports were north¬ bound on Nestler Rd. near Waterstreet in Elgin.
According to sherifTs reports . the Finley's van was traveling in the wrong lane when the accident occured. Finley was charged with a DUI and improper lane usage. AlJ three were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital where Mrs. Calhoon was pronounced dead on arrival and her husband reportedly died in the emergency room. Finley suffered a broken leg.
Mr. Calhoon was a lifelong resident of the area. He was related to many families in Huntley. Several years ago. he started Farmtown Realtors which later became » Century 21 affiliate.
Lioness Meeting
The Huntley Lioness meet¬ ing was held Wednesday evening at 7:'30 ofl September 21 at the Legion. The meeting opened with the pledge and song "You're a Orand Old Flag" and "TWt Land". The minutes' were read attd spproved and the treasurer's report was handed^ 0«it. Membership card were handed out. Everyone was encouraged to bring in new mettibets.

Ihc President called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Upon roll call the following members answered present: Mrs. Basel. Mr. Heavey. Mr. Freeberg. Mr. Pupich. and Mr. Zirk. Absent: Mrs. Massett, and Mr. O'Brien.
All present joined in the Pledge to the Flag.
1. Mr. Heavey moved Mr. Freeberg 2nd to approve the minutes of the August 25. regular meeting as written. 5 Yeas • 0 Nays. Motion carried.
2. Mrs. Basel moved Mr. Heavey 2nd to approve the ounfidehtial minutes of the August 25 Executive Session as written. S Yeas - 0 Nays. Motion carried.
Mr. O'Brien joined the meeting at 7:42 p.m.
3. Mrs. Basel moved Mr. Freeberg Znd to appiove payment of the monthly agenda of bills. Fducation - $24,887.19. Building S10.769.()I.Transpor¬ tation - S2J.07l.72. 'yeas: Based. Freeberg. Heavey. O'Brien. Zirk. and Pupich. Nays: None. 6 Yeas - 0 Nays. Motion carried.
